I have several JBL speakers, including the flip 4, flip 5, charge 4 and clip 4. They all have decent sound, I wanted this one for the lights. I found this at the Verizon store while upgrading my phone, but wanted controls on the speaker itself, so when I found this version in white with the controls I grabbed it. I love the control over the colors with the JBL app, although I think that the sound quality is a little diminished because the speaker has been moved to the top and bottom so the lights take center stage. My charge 4 definitely has better sound than this newer model. It lives in my bedroom so I can't speak to the waterproof factor, but overall I like the speaker - I just wish they would have included upgraded sound, especially at this price point. ... show more

This thing has beautiful lights that brings a nice vibe to our living room whenever we want to listen to some music. I connect it to our Amazon echo and the kids and wife loves it. Very heavy to make this thing portable but sound quality is amazing which is expected from JBL product. It gets moved around the living room and that’s about it. Don’t see myself carrying this whenever I head out.
