JBL is by far the most superior bluetooth speaker manufacturer around. All of their devices are made to rise above all the wannabes! Every JBL speaker I've had the privilege to listen to was phenomenal. I've been trying to find a replacement speaker for awhile now but as a person who has owned a JBL Partybox before I was extremely skeptical to purchase anything that wasn't a JBL product. There's many wannabes on the market and no matter the price, laughable watt claims or reviews I wasn't ready to settle for anything other than JBL. If you're looking for a quality product that is overall 100% perfect, get yourself a JBL, you won't regret it. I got a smoking deal... "refurbished: good" for 240.00 dollars. I looked it over and I could only find 1-2 very tiny scratches on the back. Its an all black speaker so you literally can't even see them unless you get close... So it looks brand new to me but I save 160 bucks. The next surprise was that it came with a JBL wireless mic and receiver... I had no idea that it actually comes with that but its a great bonus :) I bought this specifically so I can throw it in the back seat of my car instead of upgrading my sound system... It isn't as good as a professional sound system for sure but you do get a liiiitle bit of that womp womp feeling from this. Its close but not a replacement. You probably want the 320 or just get a sound system but I'm satisfied. I can bring this to pool parties and barbeques. ... show more

Beautiful clean sound throughout the sound spectrum. From nature sounds to loud techno music, I'm using this speaker to relax and distress. The JBL free app to control the lights and mic settings is easy to connect and take control. Its a crowd pleaser in our home for sure, well worth the investment. Also, its not too big to look misplaced in a living room. My son plugged his acoustic electric guitar and mic and they sounded great where the voice was well projected, we will need a mic stand now! ... show more

No manual what's up with that? Then downloaded the app. The app, oh Lord somebody help me. How in the world could you develop an app any more difficult. If I put a mp3 USB key in the back why do I need to only be able to play it from the app. Can you say "return"?

I bought two of these and they work great. I noticed that they start to lose signal at about 40 feet of distance, but I also had some walls between them so I'm guessing they would work better with line of sight between them. I used it with the microphone and that worked well as well.
