I purchased this amp to upgrade my stock stereo in my 2017 Chevy Cruze. My car doesn't have the premium audio system so I purchased a set of 6x9 speakers along with a replacement rear deck with speaker openings. I tapped into the rear door speaker wires and installed this amp to power the 6x9's. This amp is amazing! It has plenty of power and no distortion at high volume levels. Haven't had it for very long but so far it's a beast of a little amp Update- amp powers on but immediately goes into protect mode whenever the bass tries to hit. Jbl text support said that there was an internal issue with the amp. Returning with Amazon for a replacemwnt. Hopefully it's an isolated issue. Changing to 4 stars as a result. Will update once replaced. Update: unit replaced, same exact issue. All wiring replaced start to finish. Unsure if amp is just a dud or what the deal is. Downgrade to 1 star. If I find out its another issue, will update again. Update: amp was not the issue, sub was. Replaced sub, and amp is working like a champ! Update: Amp crapped out on me. I will not be purchasing another jbl amp. ... show more

I'm using the 4-channel big brother to this to drive two sets of JBL components in the doors and this little guy to drive a single 6.5" sub in the center console of my truck. Both amps are "medical grade" in terms of accurate sound quality with no artifacts that I can detect. Not that the 6.5" sub offers a lot of mass to throw around, but what does come out is smooth, well-controlled and natural. The amp does not get warm used in this manner. Sub is a Dayton 6.5" in a 1/3 cubic foot enclosure ported to about 40hz. ... show more

This app work a little over a week I had it on 2 six by nines only 240 amp pioneer to add some mids to my 215 inch competition kicker cvr's. The amp sucks donkey lips don't waste your money put a few more dollars with it and get the audiopipe 1300 4 channel for 100 bucks serves me well for my four 6by9 I get to use now don't waste your money on this amp ... show more
