Description

Big vibes, pocket-sized. The JBL Go 5 fits in the palm of your hand and somehow delivers legendary JBL sound with deep, rich bass that feels way too loud for something this small. Crystal-clear detail, serious low end—it's the kind of portable audio that makes people ask what speaker you're using. Beyond the sound, ambient edge lighting sets a soft glow around the speaker that shifts with what's happening—powering on, pairing, running low on battery. Pick a light theme that fits your mood and let it ride. And with up to 10 hours of playtime plus an extra 2 with Playtime Boost, this portable Bluetooth speaker keeps the soundtrack going well past sundown. Clumsy moment at the pool? No stress. IP68 waterproof and dustproof protection plus a drop-proof build means this outdoor waterproof speaker is genuinely built for real life—not just the careful version of it. Want to fill more space with sound? Bump two Go 5 speakers together and AirTouch instantly links them into true stereo. Or connect additional Auracast-enabled speakers wirelessly when the moment calls for something bigger. It's big sound—all there for the grabbing and going.

    • Good little sound box
Color: Squad
This thing is compact, makes good sound and the battery lasts a very long time. I don’t know how loud it gets because I haven’t needed to. It does exactly what I need it to at, I feel, a reasonable price. I’ve only had it a couple weeks and, so far, it’s done everything I’ve asked it to. It’s super compact and easy to carry. Some in box instructions (owners manual) would have been nice because I’m sure it has more functions I’m not utilizing because I’m too lazy to go online to find the manual for it. ... show more

    • Half pound beast, great for backpacking
Color: Yellow
I am genuinely impressed with how clear and loud this tiny little thing is while being very light (8.2oz) and still having respectably solid build quality. I can tell this guy is gonna be durable. Perhaps its a niche market, but, this is an excellent choice for any ounce-conscious backpackers looking for a lightweight speaker for playing music at camp (don't blast it out loud on the trail, doofus). For $40, it's hitting above its price point in all departments. Haven't tested the waterproofness, but having owned several JBL speakers, I can imagine rain won't harm it. Great battery life. These also feature the ability to sync multiple of these speakers together, which is a very neat feature for groups. Love it, would give it 6 stars if I could. ... show more

    • Surprisingly big sound
Color: Black
Don't let the compact size fool you—this JBL mini speaker punches way above its weight class! The sound quality is remarkably clear with crisp highs and surprisingly punchy bass for something that fits right in the palm of your hand or pockets easily. The rugged IP67 dustproof and waterproof rating means you can take it to the pool, beach, shower, or camping without worrying about water splashes, sand, or rain. The built-in durable loop/strap makes it super convenient to clip onto a backpack or belt loop with a carabiner. Battery life easily lasts through a full day of casual listening, and USB-C fast charging gets it back to 100% quickly. The ultimate portable speaker! ... show more

    • Cute and compact
Color: Pink
Love this. Perfect size for travel. Charging is convenient for me because it uses the same charger as a Samsung phone, "USB-C." Great value for your money. Compatibility: able to connect with multiple devices, including our projector. Volume is good, louder than JBL Go 3. Seems to be reliable.

    • Big sound in a little package.
Color: Blue
Great little speaker. Big sound in a little package. Great for a road trip. Was on a golf trip with some friends, and one of them brought the Go 4 with him. We enjoyed it while winding down at the end of the day. It does not come with a travel case, but is very sturdy and waterproof. It's also small enough to carry in a shoe without the case. I bought the case anyway, which is attractive and adds a little more protection against the elements, if needed ... show more

    • It does what you need it to do
Color: Purple
I don't really consider myself an audiophile, though I do listen to quite a lot of music and can piece together where sounds are supposed to be on the equalizer. This speaker does it's job well for its size, it has great volume control, pretty good bass, the lights on it are pretty cute, and it connects flawlessly to my phone and mp3 player with Bluetooth. It's waterproof and weather proof which is great for when I go to the beach or out camping, and it is cool that it can become stereo if you connect another JBL speaker to it. However, this isn't a speaker to use for high quality listening, at least from what I've tried to do with it. There isn't a lot of depth to the equalizer quality, so you won't get audiophile level sound, and that probably isn't why you would buy this anyway, as it wasn't my reason either, I needed a speaker that was small for work. But sometimes in certain songs the mixture of certain frequencies will cause the speaker to play muddy, sometimes even strange sounding instruments which I have never heard from any other speaker. Crying by Bjork for example in the middle of the song there is a part with 2 synths playing which you can distinctly hear on regular speakers, but with this speaker it almost combines them and it sounds like a construction machine, and I know bjork does things like that but not in this song, I'm pretty sure. The midtones and the deep bass parts of songs seem to be this speaker's struggle, either it gets really really muddy or can't get to that frequency with the other sounds playing so it just doesn't play. It's really odd, but either way, this speaker doesn't have to do all that, it just needs to be small and play loud and pretty good, and it does a great job at that. I'm sure the more expensive and larger speakers don't have as much of an issue. ... show more

Going on 3 months absolutely am loving this compact product. Not heavy but has a nice feel to it. I utilize this majority of the day in my CDL Truck. The clarity and volume is amazing. I really enjoy the red strobe lights especially at night. For the price you really can’t beat it at all. I was amazed how loud it reached. I use this also to watch movies along side w my table top notch sound. It also pairs quickly to my iPhone 14 Pro and my IPhone Tablet. ... show more

    • Surprisingly powerful little speaker!
Color: Purple
Got this guy for a road trip this past week and was really impressed with it. The sound is very clear and travels well - it did best in an enclosed space (car, dining room table providing gaming ambience), but was also powerful enough to DJ an afternoon in the pool. The battery also really impressed me - we didn't wear it down to empty but it easily could have gone 8+ solid hours of playtime and had some juice left over. Also, to be shallow, it's just really stylish, I love the color I got :) ... show more
