I had the JBL Go 2 for years and swore by it, so I was excited to upgrade to the Go 3 when my old one finally died. Overall, the sound is just as good and having USB-C charging is a major major upgrade, but I still have complaints. First of all, the build quality seems less durable. The rubber strips on the bottom have began to peel off after less than a month of owning the speaker. This looks bad and casts doubt for the larger rubber pieces that comprise the JBL logo and how durable they may be. Second, the USB-C port is completely exposed and while the speaker is still waterproof, this is cause for concern compared to the GO 2 which had a water-tight cover for the charging port. I’d still recommend this model for the USB-C charging, but the Go 2 is undoubtably the more durable model. ... show more
