The JBL Flip 5 has been a favorite in our household — so much so that I finally bought myself a new one because my kids kept snagging it! The sound quality is excellent for the size, and it even came with a protective case that makes it easy to take along for travel or outdoor use. I also appreciate the black color, which hides dirt and scuffs from the beach, lake, or backyard. My Son would always steal my pink one that I bought about 3 years ago so I finally decided to buy him his own. Works just the same and hope it lasts just as long! Super deep bass and clear sound! Good buy! We even take ours out of town when we go. Battery is long lasting.

Wow. I've had this for over five years and I gotta say it's incredible. The sound quality is amazing and it's a rugged little beast. The battery life is definitely over 5 hours - I think JBL quotes something like 7 which is probably accurate. When I bought mine, I was able to get a little rubber casing for it that included a heavy duty (non-climbing) caribiner. I don't think that accessory is available any more, which is a crying shame. Anyhow, this little speaker has been in good use for 1-5 hour sessions at least once per week for five years and it's still going strong. If I had to issue a qualm, I'd say that the battery meter isn't all that. When it's charging, it's hard to know how much it has and then when I'm playing it, there doesn't seem to be a way to check the battery. This can result in unexpected shutdown. You can also read this as "the battery lasts so bloody long it's easy to forget to charge it." Anyhow, if you need a portable, awesome-sounding bluetooth speaker, this one will do you right every time. ... show more

Great sound! I didn't realize that the JBL Flip 5 came in a nice gray protective hard foam protective case. I probably would not have gotten the added case if I had known however the case does have a handle and storage inside for the cord unlike the case it comes in. Quick service and packed well.

The JBL Flip 5 in Blue—finally, a product that delivers not just function, but joy. Crisp sound, clean design, and a colour so perfect it could make a grown man misty-eyed. (Especially if that grown man has been through one too many foot rollers and identity stampers.) You turn it on, and boom—instant vibe. Alison Moyet? Divine. Pink Floyd? Like they’re playing in your lounge. The sound is rich, full, and somehow makes everything you’re doing—whether it’s cooking, cleaning, or just pacing around looking important—feel cinematic. It’s compact but powerful. Like a musical Swiss Army knife. And the divvi! case? It’s like giving your speaker a bespoke overcoat. Classy, practical, very Rob-approved. Honestly, it’s rare I say this, but: everyone should buy one. I don’t care if you already own three speakers—this one wants to be heard. And blue?
