I live in an apartment with paper thin walls. It was so bad, I could hear my upstairs neighbor snoring! It was so awful! These completely block out those kinds of noises; snoring, TV and voices. It lost a star because it does absolutely nothing to block out footsteps, stomping, creaking and my neighbor opening up his dresser drawers. Ordered these for a stream background. They're very thin, and before you wash them they smell *harshly* of chemicals. Almost all of mine were intact and complete out of the box. For the money they do their job visually. If you want to stop sound you'll need to spend real money on pro materials. These are alright, just be sure to let them sit somewhere well-ventilated for a while. ... show more

The 2 photos are the before and after. I can say one thing. It definitely LOOKS nice. If you want to be decorative then these are definitely worth it. However, we buy these for sound. I will say in my honest opinion, I notice a good difference between having nothing and then adding this foam. My echos are not as noticable if at all, and the natural sound my mic (blue yeti) picks up has soften even more. I like to record gaming youtube videos and play alot of horror games. So when I scream (since I'm scary) some (not alot) of echo gets picked up. So if you're big in audio you'll notice a difference but at the same time everyone's area is different. I also should add, the packaging comes in very clean. It's vacuumed packed so wait about 24 to 48 hours for the foam to take shape before placing them on the wall. I advise cutting a small slice into the packaging to let air do it's thing. As for mounting them, nothing comes with it to do so. Thankfully, I have many command strips that worked beautifully to mount these. However, make sure the strips can hold atleast 12 pounds due to when I used the smaller strips the first few foam fell off the wall. I bought 2 of the 48 pack and have about 12 each color left over. The foam is reusable but I will definitely buy more if needed. Considering how many you get in one packaging, I personally say they're worth the money. Look, being dead honest. Their isn’t much of a difference in audio recordings between both with and without these panels. Although, they make your setup look more professional.

Every since getting these I’ve noticed that there has been a white dust flying around. I’d suggest rinsing these off before use. Don’t use double sided tape or adhesion strips to put these up. I had to buy special strips to finally get them to stick without issue. Helps with the noise as far as bass and some lower frequencies but do not expect full sound proofing.
