I needed to record some audio and get rid of some of the reverb in the room, try to insulate and block out external noise, while assisting with the acoustics of the room. These panels are really thin. There was no noise reduction or sound insulation. It did help with the acoustics and reduced the reverb. This is a very good and effective product, for someone on a budget. If you're looking sound treat a room, and really reduce the external noise, you will need to get thicker panels.     • Pretty Nice Acoustic Treatment Tiles!

I game a lot, and do streams. My room has a massive echo to it, so I decided to get some of these. I got the 48 pack, which is plenty enough lol. They aren't that small.. anyways, they come in a vacuum sealed bag, but after leaving them sit for a few hours, they have already become fluffed up. I left 2 of the packs in the vacuum sealed bags for a month, and even after finally opening and leaving them sit out for a few hours, they still fluffed up. The only problem I ran into was that I couldn't find a way to stick them to my walls. Now, its recommended that you get 2 sided 3M adhesive tape, so that's what I did.. but.. it didnt work. The tape would stick to the foam for about 20 minutes before falling off of the foam. What I did to solve this issue was I hot glued the foam squares to the adhesive tape, then stuck the squares to the wall, using the other side of the adhesive tape... that worked absolutely fine.. until I tried taking one off. Lol. Didnt realize the adhesive tape was gonna cause the paint on the walls to peel/bubble.. my landlord is gonna hate me, but hopefully i can fix it before i move out, whenever I do. Lol. My suggestion is to find something that will stick to your walls and this foam, without doing damage to either or. ... show more

    • Thin and Cheap Comparatively

2 years ago I purchased foam tiles and sound pads for my home studio and they were THICK, very difficult to adhere to the wall (had to use sewing pins, which ended up working incredibly well vs. the tape that ripped the paint off and couldn't hold the foam tiles), and have proven to be exceptional in sound quality. Purchasing these I guess I thought I would save some money and just buy a quick packet of cheaper ones. I got what I paid for. They are small, flimsy, cheap, came shrink wrapped so small I didn't even know what they were until I cut open the packaging and peeled them apart...now they are permanently smashed from the shrink wrapping. These aren't anything like the old ones I bought, that were thick and expensive. I didn't return them because the room I have didn't need the extra thick sound tiles, and I will put these on the ceiling only to catch some reverb issues. But I wouldn't buy these again. You get what you pay for with sound foam tiles! ... show more

I got some adhesive soundproof foam pads a while back and ended up not having enough to cover the section I needed. I went to amazon to find this amazing deal on these adhesive-free foam pads. I knew I would need some double sided tape to put them up but that was cheaper together than it would’ve been to get the adhesive ones. Upon opening, they were already pretty fluffy. I do recommend leaving them out to air dry after soaking a lil longer than it calls for. They are thick, dark, durable but sturdy, and also very high-quality. Initially they were thin like pancakes. I was very upset about it. But once I let them sit overnight they plumped up..idk that they are quality at all. They are basically cotton candy. I have bought them before from other vendors and they sell dense firm foam. This was me going cheap. I got what I paid for. ... show more

They look cool but that's about it. To start, they pretty much do not work. I filled an entire wall behind my roommate's. My room never had an echo so I do not know how much it helps with that. But there was no sound suppression. My roommate could still hear me just as much. They felt light and incredibly thin. They don't come with any adhesives so I installed them with command strips. They worked for about 4 months before they all fell off. Double-sided tape might work better but by then I already gave up. ... show more

    • Decent alternative for small office

These dampen noise pretty well and mostly kill any reverb/echo I used to get in my tiny office. My only complaint is that the squares arent all the exact same size, theres a CM'ish difference on each square but these are still a great deal for the price.
