This light looks fantastic and is very bright. Had I not gone to school for electronics engineering I may not have figured out how to wire this thing. The 8 segments need to be wired in series to the single transformer. Great light for the price!

Very modern looking design; flood fill entire dining room with white light. 5 star on the light itself. Now you want to pay attention to the following: Packaging: mine came with a generic cardbox with no brand name or whatsoever. Doesn’t feel like $140 product. I give 3 star. Assembly: I give 5 star here. It’s a enjoyable project. This light has 8 individual LED loops. You have to disconnect the wire, screw on the LED loops at right position and reconnect the wire. Otherwise you will be facing a topology puzzle. Wire connection is easier than you think. The four upper loops use two drivers while the bottom four share the 3rd driver. Just connect them in series for the shared ones. Don’t worry about polarity error, connectors won’t let that happen. Installation: 1 star, very painful. The screw holes on base plate is fixed, there is absolutely no need to use slotted holes on the metal cross bar. The screws are free to slide around the bar and there is an infinite degree of error. Imagine you are pushing the square base against dry wall just to find out that the screws from the metal cross doesn’t line up with the holes because you put one screw in several millimeters too far to the left. Also the screws provided have a tapered v-shaped head which don’t sit well against the crossbar. This is a big let down. ... show more

First: I did not read the description closely and thought I was getting a dimmable light. It is not. Second: Instructions supplied with unit are confusing at first read. After putting the unit together I went back and reread the instructions and they began to make sense. The video should be referenced in the first line and strongly recommended to watch. I have been putting together fixtures for many years and this one seemed just too simple to be complicated. 6 hours later and a minor modification to the mounting screws it was up on the ceiling. Looks nice and VERY bright nearest to daylight I have seen yet. Parts (like the stand-offs) seem pretty cheaply made and finished with some trouble screwing them into the lights (thread slightly damaged and one light was not threaded. Had to re-thread the stand-off and thread the light). Not a bad light in general just a pain to unbox and assemble. ... show more

Likes: Very modern looking and different type of design. Only seven (7) inches height since there is a ceiling fan next to light fixture. Very, very bright. Lights up the room completely. Being LED, the lights are cool running, energy efficient, and long lasting. Fairly light weight. Dislikes: Tight working room between between mounting bracket on ceiling and light fixture housing when connecting wirings. The mounting screws that connect the bracket to the light fixture housing are too short. Could use another quarter inch in order to mount light fixture. Not comfortable with mounting light fixture to ceiling using a couple of metal screws and anchors to sheetrock ceiling. I would recommend using toggle screws to ensure that the screw holes do not strip out. However, I would highly recommend this LED light fixture if you are upgrading your room lightings. ... show more
