This is advertised as "grip tape" but as far as I can tell, this product seem to be designed to be a replacement grip for your paddle. It is pretty easy to install onto the paddle and it holds pretty well after installing it. it does allow for a pretty solid hold onto the paddle, although it doesn't seem quite on par with the manufacturer grip that it replaced. I like the ridges and the perforation which allows for a solid grip on the paddle as well as absorbing sweat. Overall, I think this is a pretty solid replacement grip for the original one that shipped with the paddle.

This is a nice cushioned grip tape and seems it will last quite awhile longer than the thin tape I've been using. It does make the paddle handle just a little thicker, but it works for me, even with my small hands and intentionally getting paddles with smaller handle diameters.

I often use electrical tape as the final closure wrap, or recycle whatever type of closure tape was on the grip I removed. Lucky, because the closure tape with this product simply stretched into essentially nothing. Luckily, I had kept the tape from the prior grip and just reinstalled that, and it all ended up fine. But I'll deduct one star for that "miss". Other than that it installed just fine and played well my last time on the court, so overall I'm happy with it.

My #2 paddle still had the original grip on it and you can see it was in pretty bad condition. I had been covering it up with overgrips but thought it was time to update the whole look of the paddle and this red grip was the place to start...along with changing my edge guard tape to red as well. The first step in picture 2 is unwrapping the old grip and getting down to basic handle structure. Then you just remove the sticky tape from the back of the new grip and start winding the tapered section from the pommel down to the paddle face...pulling nice and hard for a good, tight wrap. Once you've reached the end of your handle...cut off any excess at a 45 degree or less angle and use the supplied Jaya black tape to secure everything. It takes only a couple of minutes and you can just lift it up and start again if you don't like your first attempt. The adhesive on the back only holds the grip in place like a post it note...and it is the friction between wraps that keeps it in place. Now the grip is very comfortable and a bit "sticky" which is how I like it. The padding and air holes are supplemented by a ridged line and this feels good and is very useful in installation as you can easily keep the same angles between each wrap as you can see in picture 3. You can also see the look with some red electrical tape to protect your edge and cover any lead tape you've added. Looks almost like a new paddle and the RED is something special from Jaya that gives a good reason to try it. You won't be disappointed in the look or the performance.

Some people don't like the raised grip for pickleball paddles, but I do. I feel like it helps you maintain a good grip even when hitting soft shots and when your hand is sweaty. I also feel like it gives me a better feel for the paddle during a variety of shots. This grip tape is similar to a name brand that always comes in white, and while this grip is not quite as thick or durable as that one, it is less than a third the price. Given that you will probably want to rewrap your grip with some frequency, I much prefer to get more grips even if they last slightly less long, as they get dirty and slick after a while, even with the best grips. All in all I'm very happy with this order, and would definitely come back to this company again. I have bought even cheaper overwrap that is smooth with small holes, but this tape is far superior to that. Just know that you probably don't want to put this ribbed grip over a grip that is already ribbed, as that would probably not work well. But on a smooth grip this is perfect!

I was pleasantly surprised with this grip tape. There is only 1/8th of an inch of adhesive on the wrap, and I'm thinking this isn't going to work, but I made sure to wrap the handle tight and as per the instructions. It's sticking well, as is the collar tape - even cool weather. No issues. I haven't used the paddle in warm weather, so can't comment on moisture being wicked away. There are slight ribs in the tape that give the player a bit more to hang on to - so my paddle handle isn't smooth (and slippery) as with the original handle. Overall a good product for updating your grip, reasonably priced.

JAYA Pickleball Paddle Grip Tape with Raised Ridge, Pack of 2 I've used tennis grip tape for years, but this is my first time using pickleball grip tape. It works the same, but is just the right length for my pickleball paddle. This is a good brand. PROS: Simple to apply. Just the right length, didn't need any trimming. Has a raised ridge that helps me grip the paddle (see photos comparing it to my reading glasses). The adhesive tape works well. The grip has a bit of padding which makes it more comfortable to hold the handle of the paddle. I didn't find it very absorbent (which would be nice when my hand sweats), but that's pretty standard. All-in-all this is a good grip tape and a step above the flat overwraps. CONS: None

I like this replacement grip. Yes, it's definitely a replacement grip. Over-grips don't have the fabric-y cushion-y stuff on the underside, which is meant to provide cushioning between the bare paddle and the hand. It's the same with tennis grips (this may actually be useful on a tennis raquet). They should be replaced periodically. That being said, this is a pretty nice grip. The raised surfaces help to channel air and sweat to the hand, keeping you cool. The perforations also draw sweat from the hand, increasing comfort. It does provide a bit of extra cushion/shock absorption, but mostly serves as a finger guide (again, maybe good for tennis raquets). Grips have a nice, tacky feel to them. Helps to keep the paddle in-hand. I put an overwrap on it to help with sweat wicking and also to build-up the grip. I think it shines even more in terms of comfort/cushioning when it's got an overwrap on it.
