I'm not sure what to expect with an item so cheap, but I bought these for a leisurely river beer float for use with a tube, and the paddle lasted about 8 seconds. I got into the tube, kicked off the sand, moved into the current, put my paddle in the water, did two pulls and the paddle snapped right in half. I was still able to paddle with the lower end, but it was annoying to have a new product fail so completely so quickly. Plus the broken end was kind of jagged and that was fun to be on a river with for 4 hours. I wouldn't buy these if you're going anywhere hairier than a slow moving crawl. ... show more
