  • Great addition for DIY tool kit
Great addition to my DIY kit. I used it to trim 1/4 inch off the ends of my wooden garden gate. It is a pull saw, pull lightly toward you to make your cut. The saw is of good quality.

  • Sharp in the Tooth
Love these saws for fine and softwood purposes. Don't expect it to cut through anything burly, but for dexterity and small-scale jobs, they're excellent tools to have on hand.

  • No Brainer At This Price
I was sold on the utility of these little pull saws after trying one for the first time last year. I decided to compare this one to the notably more expensive Suizan flush cut saw that I have been using for stuff like flush cutting dowels or fine edge cuts. I'll go into more detail below but the short version is that while this doesn't perform as well, it's still really good and it's so cheap that it's silly not to have one in your set of woodworking tools. Off the bat, this saw is notably thicker and as such the blade has a good bit less flex. This makes it harder to pull off totally flush cuts in some situations, but it's still better than not having one in those cases. This may be obvious to most people but it also ends up with a wider cut as you can see on the piece of scrap wood in my 2nd picture. I found that using this to cut, it took a bit more pulling force and got hung up more than the Suizan. However, it did make incredibly clean cuts and I still find this easier to use (especially as someone with bad wrists) than the push saws we're used to here. The grip is nice and grippy and fits my hand well and a small thing but I appreciated the inclusion of some plastic blade covers to make this a little safer depending on how you store it. Does this do as well as my more expensive pull saw? No. Does this do well as a pull saw? Yes. Is this crazy cheap for how well it works? Yes. Should you buy it if you're considering it? Yes. ... show more

  • Great little saw for the price. Useful for many projects in the workshop.
These little saws are SO handy to have in the toolbox. I have always used a similar saw made by another company which has a handle which is blue with yellow printing on it. I use it for all sorts of small tasks and they come in especially handy for trimming door trim without removing the trim when you’re doing tile or hardwood flooring. Since this was similar and my other one is getting worn out, I decided to order this one. It has a different tooth count on each side: 14 TPI (recommended for hardwood) & 17 TPI (recommended for softwood), although, I don’t think those are exclusive to the use of the saw; use what works for you on a project. I have cut plastic pipe with saws like this. The blade is a little firmer and slightly thicker than my old one and the blade a little shorter. A shorter blade is going to reduce the draw length a bit but, most of the time when I’ve used saws like this, a long draw length is not really necessary. I haven’t researched whether the blade can be replaced but there are screws and nuts holding it into the handle which leads me to believe it might be possible in the future. I think it’s a great price for a really useful little saw. ... show more

  • Nice saw, perfect for garden and outdoor trimming, cut like it should, so excited to use it more
I haven't tried it on hardwood yet but it cut through a softwood plank of wood without any issues. I feel like the handle itself will likely be a failure point sometime in the future if you put too much force on it. But this is perfect for yard work, trimming back large bushes and cutting off small tree limbs that are low hanging. The sides to use are labeled with the respective wood type with is very convenient. I'm so excited for this little saw, it's going to be putting in some hours this summer. I do with there was a better cover for it as all you have to protect the blades is a bit of plastic that slides on. Those are more personal gripes though and nothing to do with how well this had worked. Overall, a great addition to any tool set. I'm giving it four starts because it does seem a bit flimsy at the handle though time will tell how well it hold up to my usage. ... show more
