You might be able to fit two large text books in it if you're lucky. Edit: After reading some other reviews, I am convinced that this is a fake. I compared the backpack I received (left, red) to a Jansport Superbreak backpack bought from a store last year (right, blue). Size of the one received from this seller is smaller, fabric and zippers are very cheap feeling, and it is clearly a fake Jansport backpack. I have used jansport backpacks for years and years and have never had an issue, my son was so excited to have a backpack like mine, and we even paid extra to have his name embroidered on it. The zipper has been a non stop issue with sticking either getting stuck on the fabric flap covering the zipper or due to the misaligned teeth (pictured.) We haven’t even had the backpack for a month now and it’s esentially useless 😭 ... show more

    • Terrible backpack! Don't waste your money!

Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money on this backpack. I really expected more from a Jansport since they have a reputation for being great bags. The material it is made of is good and seems sturdy but the design on the zipper on the largest pocket is terrible! There is a huge flap of material that is supposed to conceal the zipper but the problem is that it is so large that it you have to be meticulous each and every time you zip it or unzip it to move the flap out of the way. Not an easy thing to ask of a 12 year old boy that has 5 minutes between classes to pack up and quickly get to their next class. The zipper has been stuck countless times in the short time he's been using it and he has made an effort to be more careful. Then it's nearly impossible to get the zipper free because it's just so much material that gets stuck in there. I've had to use pliers to try to get it free and then the zipper just came off the track and rendered it unusable. Pretty crappy for a $40 backpack used for 2 months! Very dissatisfied! ... show more

This is a counterfeit product. The backpack broke after 6 months and when it was sent to JanSport for repair, JanSport notified us that the backpack was counterfeit and not under warranty.
