Description

The very durable HD400 Series is extremely popular. The 4-gallon (16-liter) HD400 has an internal mechanical agitator that does an excellent job of keeping powdered chemicals such as kaolin clay organic insecticides in suspension, as well as liquid chemical additives. Independently tested for more than 1,500 continuous hours of operation with no breakdowns and easily converted for either right-hand or left-hand operation. Plus it only takes 6 handle pumps to achieve 45 psi, reducing operator fatigue. Convenient carry handle built into the top of the tank and a handle lock and spray lance lock to make it easy to transport from job to job. The HD400 blue features a piston cup made from Santoprene®, which offers a longer wear life. It features a Santoprene® seal, deluxe straps, a stainless steel wand and weighs 8.1 lbs.

My only complaint is the opaque color of the tank makes it difficult if not impossible to see the water line as you fill it up. It does have markings for gallons / liters... but not sure why because you cannot tell where the water line is. The tank is a bit long for my back so it caused my neck to hurt while looking down to spray. It has a lot of pressure with just two or three pumps. A fairly good unit. Make sure you make a slurry for any mixing of granules, water solubles etc. because it will get clogged in the line and lose pressure. ... show more

comfortable straps/ high spray volume can get the job done faster/ great up close or spraying longer distances. I have 2 Jacto HD400s for different applications. would never buy or use any of the other brands again that I used to have after being exposed to how well my Jacto works.

    • Will not maintain pressure
Similar to some of the other reviews, this sprayer stopped maintaining pressure after about 4 uses. You can pump for hours and get only a trickle from the hose. So disappointing , what a waste of money

It's awesome how the base of this is flat and wide. Unlike all other backpack sprayers I've ever owned. It stands up and it doesn't fall over I like it

    • Not your Dad's Jacto
This is not the Jacto/Shindaiwa of old. I have a 20 + year old Shindaiwa that was my father's and it still works (has been rebuilt several times) although the plastic is finally degrading. I was happy to find these after Shindaiwa quit selling the jacto rebranded sprayer. The sprayers are now made in China and quality is not what it used to be. The sprayers work OK. However, after only a few months of use the lids on all three sprayers became harder and harder to remove. They are not cross threaded and the threads are clean and lubricated with silicone. I have to use pipe pliers to remove them now. They screw on easily. Other plastic items are also not holding up so we'll either... Thought I had found the new version of the perfect sprayer. I guess the quest continues. ... show more

Absolutely the best out there! This sprayer is made in USA and made for small farms,all vital components are squared off and protected buy the frame, unlike any other models I’ve ever seen. I’ve broken echo, solo, and others by setting it on a sharp object or rock then it would break pump, BUT NOT THIS ONE,it’s design is just owesome, MUST see to appreciate! ... show more
