It truly does what they say it will do
Style: Explorer 5000 Plus+2x500X+STS
AMAZING! Last year’s hurricanes left us in Clearwater without power for almost five days. Downed trees and power lines trapped us in the neighborhood, and most of our neighbors ran out of gas for their loud, smelly, inefficient generators. This past week, I have lived entirely on this solar power generator. At first, I used both panels, but after adjusting the angle (thanks to ChatGPT and some solar apps), just one panel was enough to keep the battery charged overnight—even in February! I’ve run ceiling fans, TV, dishwasher, and even a full load of laundry in the washing machine. You can choose which circuits to include, which is fantastic. Just running the ceiling fans alone is a game changer—never mind the TV, Xbox, lights, router, modem, and more. I chose not to include the 220V circuits (range and dryer). Pro tip: Save the cardboard boxes! If you carefully unfold them and add a little duct tape, you can make a pad to place the panels on. I simply rotate the panels toward the sun during the day—easy peasy, no scratches, no effort. Increasing the tilt by about 29° nearly doubled my solar output. The panels are lightweight, fold up neatly, and store in sturdy carry bags with handles. There are multiple operating modes, and Jackery’s customer support has been extremely helpful. The app lets you turn any circuit on or off anytime—super simple. Nothing needs to be unplugged or moved. This entire week I used zero grid power. I unfold the panels around 7 AM and fold them up at 6 PM. I’m honestly astonished. You can also add more batteries or panels, including rooftop or array setups. Jackery connected me with an installer. The first quote was $3,000 but they wouldn’t install it where I wanted, so I paid closer to $5,000 to have it installed in a tight space with a surge protector. Totally worth it—this system is pretty freaking cool. This generator is everything they claim and more. Being a Florida residence will get you a full refund on your sales tax , and a 30% credit on your federal.

saved grandma from baking thanks to the datacenter
Style: Explorer 5000 Plus+2x500X+STS
They started turning my grandmother's power off in the middle of the summer so the nearby datacenter could stay on. She had no AC, her food was spoiling in the fridge, no TV, no anything. The datacenter is still causing problems but grandma can keep her food cool and one AC unit running while she waits for the power to come back on and the solar and battery do OK for a thoughtful setup. Cant buy piece of mind but a little resilience helps me sleep better at night knowing grandma is ok.

Great product but be aware!
Style: Explorer 5000 Plus+2x500X+STS
It’s a well made product and is easy to set up the basic system. They advertise it as a whole home system but reality is unless you’re using it for a tiny house the system will need a couple of additional backup batteries and a professional electrician to install the transfer switch. The system is heavy but the wheels and extendable handle make it manageable on flat ground.

Let the sun shine
Style: Explorer 5000 Plus+2x500X+STS
I love the idea of solar. No noise, no fumes. No worries if the pumps are closed. If we run out of Sun, we have bigger problems. Using on regular days to charge all the battery-operated tools/vacuums, etc. I haven’t connected to the house because I’ll be selling soon and plan to take this with me to next address.

Has worked great so far
Style: Explorer 5000 Plus+2x500X+STS
I bought this as a backup power option for power outages. This is an absolute beast of a home battery supply. The Jackery 5000 Plus is a powerful and versatile power station with a 5040Wh capacity and 7200W output, making it perfect for a variety of needs. It offers multiple output options, including AC, DC, and USB ports, and can power appliances like refrigerators and AC for hours. The user-friendly display and app provide real-time data on battery usage and remaining power. I had an electrician install the smart transfer switch, and I’ve tested it with high-demand devices, and it powered them without issues for up to 15 hours.

Make sure you have a good battery pack that stores a lot of power .
Style: Explorer 5000 Plus+2x500X+STS
The Jackery does not hold the charge as long as it says. But other than that we live on it when we go to our vacation home in Maine. It’s easy to use and convenient.
