I've only had this unit for a couple days, but so far I'm very happy with it. It arrived ahead of schedule with excellent packaging. It is performing as expected - very easy to roll around - about the size of a salesman's sample case. That's important for an old guy like me(!). At 63 lbs, it's pretty heavy but lighter than an old lead-acid battery counterpart. It really does charge fast -- when plugged into a standard 15amp 110V AC socket, it shows a charge level of 1750 watts. I didn't try it, but if I had put any other load on that AC circuit, it would have tripped my circuit breaker! I recommend you find an AC outlet that has no other load. Alternatively, choose the "slow charge" mode on the phone app and it will draw only about 850 watts when charging. The unit has an optional mode that will extend the life of its batteries by limiting max drain and max charge to a narrower range than 0-100% of total capacity. I had that option turned on, and when the unit wouldn't charge beyond 85%, I thought it was defective. Taking it off "battery saving mode" fixed that. This is done through the Bluetooth/WiFi link to my iPhone via a downloadable app that works well. I tested the solar panel that comes with the unit -- it's rated at 80 watts, but it delivered about 65 watts with bright morning sun. That's a slow charge rate, but it's free energy, and a backup when commercial power is not available. You can add more solar panels if you want to buy them. I'm planning heavy use of this unit for amateur radio "field day" at the end of June. I'll add more info to this review after that (if Amazon lets me). Brownouts are predicted in my area (Arizona) this summer. This unit can help me bridge the brownout if it isn't too long, and then I can recharge the unit on commercial power. I really like the display on the unit as well as the nifty iPhone app. So far it works very well and keeps the user "in the know" any time it's needed. I bought this unit to replace a motley collection of dying AGM lead-acid batteries (very heavy), lots of cables, and some erratic separate power inverters. Ugh. Not very portable. Bottom line: this unit is pricey, but it's so convenient, I think I'm going to love it. ... show more

I live in an apartment without a balcony or fireplace. That means if the power goes out we have no heat or TV, internet or the ability to cook. This fantastic unit solves all my problems. It charges fast on wall current so it is always ready for a disaster. I tested it with a lamp and it stayed lit for 4 full days. I had to take the solar panels outside to charge because they won't charge through a window (low e glass). I did buy the car charger so that works too. 3 ways to charge. I also have the battery charging clips for a car battery. This unit ran my electric heater just fine. I vacuumed and bought a string of LED lights to plug in. I bought an electric frying pan so we can cook anything as well as make toast and coffee. It is very compact, the solar panels fold up and are easy to carry in the nice case that comes with it..... that includes a pocket inside to hold the power cord. Great for camping ! ... show more

Both this product during the Prime Day, at first I was a little bit hesitant about buying the product. Then my wife convinced me to purchase so I did. The product came with 2x 200w Solar Panels. During unboxing I decided to charge it inside my travel trailer but the issue is that it would keep tripping the internal circuit breaker. Lesson learned, it is best if you charge it using a dedicated 20 amp plug. The next day I decided to have the Solar panels charge the generator/power pack. With one 200w solar panel connected to the pack, I noticed that it was only performing at 50% capacity. So I decided to add the second solar panel and charge it for about 5 1/2 hours. As shown in the pictures, the starting percentage was 38%, oh by the way, out of the box it was 29%, so highly suggest to charge before using it. By the end of the day it was at 68%, so not bad for both solar panels performing between 50% to 60% capacity, it all depends on the location of the sun to the panels. Today I decided to use both panels to charge the pack for at least 8 hours, I am glad to say that the panels were up to par when it comes to charging a 3 KW powerpack. Positioning of the panels throughout the Day made a lot of difference. These Solar panels will work to it's full capacity when it's properly oriented towards the Sun. This review is based on the power pack not hookup to any load while charging with solar panels. I have not decided to bring it in my office since it weigh around 70 lbs. It have wheels and can be move like a carry on luggage. Once again, it is a heavy carry on. More to follow on this next summer when I plan on using this power pack while dry camping in some of our national parks. So far it is worth the buy and investment. ... show more
