🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The J Pillow has garnered attention for its unique design and comfort, particularly from travelers seeking rest during long flights. Most reviewers agree it provides exceptional head and neck support, a departure from traditional travel pillows. Its shape allows versatility in use, making it equally comfortable for lying down and sitting up. However, opinions on its effectiveness for upright sleeping during flights vary, with some finding it lacking in support for different sleeping positions without additional adjustments.

  • 🎒 Includes a snap on the top to easily attach to luggage, facilitating transport and hygiene.
  • 🛏 Frequently used beyond travel for home lounging and comfort during illness.
  • 🧼 Easy to wash, maintaining hygiene after prolonged use.

Cons

  • 📏 May not provide sufficient support for all sleeping positions without adjustment.
  • 💼 Despite its benefits, its bulk might be a concern for those with minimal packing space.
  • 🔄 Adjusting the pillow for support when changing sleep positions can be cumbersome for some users.

Should I Buy It?

If you travel often and struggle to find comfort with traditional travel pillows, the J Pillow is worth considering. It's especially useful for those who value versatility and comfort over minimalism in packing. However, if your primary use requires consistent support across various sleeping positions without frequent adjustments, you may want to explore other options.

  • The #1 Best Travel Pillow!
I am a 69 y/0 woman who has tried many travel pillows. The J pillow is by far the best and only one I have used for the past several years now. I use this pillow not only for travel but nightly at home, as well. It cradles my neck, allowing me to sleep deeper and with less to no neck pain. I also give these as gifts. Thank you for a wonderful product. ... show more

  • Helps me sleep well
I bought the J pillow for international or long flights. I am def side sleeper or lean to the side sleeper on plane. I recently used it on flight home from Italy and I slept pretty good 4-5 hours on the way back to USA. I wish it compressed more or I haven't figured out how to compress it with fabric carrying sack. It is bulky compared to some other pillows I have. And I tried to do the sizing strap to trunk around the head rest in case of slipping down but it was a little too short to reach for me. So maybe additional sizing hole in there would be good. But I still love it ... show more

  • Best Travel Pillow I've Found (But It's Big)
I've flown over a million miles and have tried and failed to find a travel pillow that allows me to sleep. While I need to use it a few more times, this one is the best I've found. What I like most about it is it puts all the padding on one side. Virtually all other pillows are doughnuts - half of the pillow is between your head and your shoulder and the other half is doing nothing. With this pillow you need to decide if you're going to tip your head to the left or right and then put it on that way and you end up with twice the padding on that one side. I like to sit in the window seat and I think this will be particularly good to lean against the window. The padding is particularly solid so it provides really great cushioning. With so many pillows, the padding either compresses too much or it ends up somewhere my head isn't. The worst are those pillows that are filled with little foam balls. This pillow folds up quite well, but it can be a bit challenging to get in/out of its stuff sack - maybe that should have been made a tad larger... The pillow in its stuff sack is quite sizable, to the extent that some airline staff might give you some static about it. Lastly, I was impressed that the pillow is washable and that Gemma, the lady who apparently invented it, gives you her email if you have questions or feedback. I've got a 12 hour flight coming up and I'll update this review if my opinions change. ... show more

  • The perfect travel pillow
I will admit that once I received this pillow, I was really questioning my choice. It looks like it couldn't support anything and the shape was odd. I'm beyond happy I stuck with it because it actually functions perfectly whether we're traveling or even at home. It's helped with my migraines while traveling and it feels like it is high quality and durable. The perfect size for traveling, it comes with a handy bag. I love the attached scarf to help make it more supportive. This is a great deal for the price and comfort! ... show more

  • Odd Shape but It (Might) Work Travel Pillow
This is an odd shaped travel pillow that will either work for you it won't. When you open it, it will look strange and you may have to refer to the instructions on how to use it. I did. Once I figured it out, it supported my neck and chin as advertised. I appreciate the "scarf" is adjustable with three different sizes. I found it worked best if the pillow is leaning against something like the window or the next seat. ... show more

  • Works well
I do like the fit and feel of this pillow. It is larger than the ring pillows we normally use but they comfort is better and feels nice when you using it. A little bulkier when carrying around but does feel better than the older style travel pillows.

  • Comfortable Support!
I can't sleep without some form of support and this neck sleep pillow supports my neck and head really well! The memory foam is firm enough for the support but it's also comfortable and soft. The shape of the pillow is really unique and it did take me a minute to figure out how to wear the pillow but once I did, you can tighten it around your neck to pick the level of support you need. If you need the support to sleep in a vehicle or airplane, this will work for you. ... show more

  • Great for window seats
Overall I'm pretty happy with this travel pillow. The pillow itself is well made, the material is super plush and very soft to the touch. It had lots of filling and there wasn't any ripping or tears on along the seams. I like that they include a carrying case although it doesn't really compress all too well. You're better off carrying it in hand or using the loop to attach it to your backpack so the gate agents don't cause a stink about any "extras." I think this neck pillow is amazing for anyone with a window seat. Having the wall on one side to provide support for this pillow really makes a difference. If you're on the isle or stuck in the middle it is a little cumbersome. I didn't find the pillow sturdy enough to hold my head up to the side. I'm not sure if I didn't have it on tight enough but I kept finding my pillow booping the shoulder of the person next to me, thankfully they were in my group. I'll see how this holds up on my return flight in the isle, maybe it just takes time to get used to the design. ... show more
