Description

Easy to use, appreciate it coming with a little mixing stick and a mixing tray built into the packaging and you can put it back in the packaging for storage. The cap goes back on easily. Used this on a small plastic bracket on a 94 ford and it feels stronger than the original. I would definitely recommend having this in the toolbox. The price is well worth it. Excellent Product When Used Properly for Actual Structural Repairs This has been an excellent product for proper automotive and shop-related repairs when used the way it is actually intended to be used. We keep products like this on hand regularly around our automotive and business operations, and this has consistently performed very well for bonding certain plastics, trim pieces, and repair areas that require real structural adhesion rather than temporary shortcuts. One thing worth mentioning is that products like this work best when surface preparation, curing time, and proper application are taken seriously. This is not one of those products that should be blamed because someone tried to improperly patch, force, or improvise a repair beyond what the product was realistically designed to handle. The syringe design makes application clean and controlled, the mixing process is straightforward, and the bond strength has been impressive when used correctly on appropriate materials. It also sets up relatively quickly compared to some other structural adhesives we’ve worked with. The packaging arrived sealed properly with no leaking or hardened product inside the syringe, which is important with adhesives like this. The quantity also feels reasonable considering how little product is often needed per repair. ✅ This stuff creates a bond that is stronger than the material being joined. ✅ Unlike various crazy glues, it is positionable for a few minutes after the pieces are joined. ✅ There's no smell, good, bad, or otherwise. ✅ It mixes easily. See Pro Tips, below. ✅ It works particularly well for sticking printed items made from PETG or PLA together. I wish this stuff came in other colors, for example, white or clear. (Is clear a color?) However, the tan doesn't stand out, and it can create a nice, unobtrusive bead with careful application. 📌 Pro Tips... I learned this from Bob's wife, maker of BSI Quick Cure Epoxy. Use the plastic top of a Maxwell House coffee can as a mixing surface and mix with Royalco 5723 goo spreaders. For some reason, NOTHING, including this J-B weld or their amazing epoxy will stick to either of those. I've been reusing the same lid and goo stick for nearly a decade.

I tried everything on my broken scooter fender. Gorilla Glue, Super Glue, and Flexible Super Glue. None of them worked. J-B Weld is amazing! It worked and it's stronger than the original plastic.

This epoxy touts the claim that it cures in 30 minutes and bonds better to plastics. Yes, it cures in 30 minutes, but the cure is not hard, it is consistently slightly spongy. Other epoxies can cure fairly hard in an hour and still bond just as well to plastic. The syringe is the highest quality, though. It seals well for future use with a special valvelike cap. J-B Weld's ClearWeld is dyable to any color (or stay clear), quickly cures very well, has the special syringe and cap in 25mL, and accepts additives like glass microbeads well. I recommend ClearWeld instead.

Excellent cohesion to a variety of plastic parts/hoses etc. A rat had eaten a hole in my f-150 hoses. One of the small hoses served the wiper fluid reservoir. Bought some small diameter hose and cut it down the center. Then placed the hose over the glued hose that had the hole. UPDATE: I saved almost a $600.00 repair with this J-B weld. The turn/wiper plastic like component on my 2012 F-150 was broken at the female screw holes (yes I said it). The turn signal/wiper part is almost $400.00 and involved removing the airbag so I tried J-B Weld. I followed instructions and the turn/wiper works perfectly. Important: I had to hold the part in place for about 10 minutes. Then DO NOT use until next day to allow complete drying. $7.00 for $600.00 is an excellent investment. FYI: I tried the plastic welding solution that failed. I tried zip ties and that failed. Update: After 2 months of daily use the glue is still holding. Before this repair I watched many Youtube videos on how to replace the broken turn/wiper component. Just be patient and follow instruction exactly. This is not like crazy glue. Holding the glue part in place for 10-20 minutes should be enough.

Our microwave’s handle interior screws had broken free from the plastic interior resulting in a microwave with no handle on the door. I saw this plastic epoxy holds about 3,000 pounds per square inch. Seeing that, I cut a paper plate and formed it into a trough to hold the epoxy. The trough was place into the door, extending to the other side of the microwave door. I mixed the epoxy, coated the screws with the epoxy, then filled the troughs to carry the epoxy fully to the other side of the door and to form a solid piece for the handle to be solidly attached. I taped the handle, bottom to top to hold it in place overnight. We use our microwave several times per day. It is just as solid now as it was when purchased, thanks to this epoxy!
