I bought my husband this four years ago for Christmas. He has enjoyed it but last week it quit working. We realized that it is out of warranty but he contacted Izzo to see if it just needed a reboot to get it going. The lady gave him instructions which he followed but it didn't work so he contacted them again. She asked for specific info and he gave it to her. No complaining, no nastiness, just asking for help realizing there may not be a solution due to the four year thing. He only plays once a week so it hasn't been over used. After giving the info, no response. Nothing Now we have been blocked from their site. They apparently blocked our IP address. So he has no way to get on and access the help they were offering or even contact them. Very disappointing customer service. Again he was polite...no reason to block us. Just explain that it is out of warranty and there's nothing more they can do. We may have to buy a new GPS for him, but it certainly won't be an Izzo. ... show more

I like the simple screen with front, middle and back green readings. Distance of shot tracking is good and hazard locations are good as well. The battery life typically holds up for at least two rounds, but i have had a few times when it would drain before i finished the second round. I also experienced a few times after i had charged it completely (it showed 100%) and it quit after a few holes. I noticed that when charging the device, it was hit or miss and sometimes the charge readings were weird. So i switched from the charging block they sent with the device to another charging block I use for other items like a phone and tablet. The next few uses after that, I did not experience any problems. Not completely sure if the charging block is the problem others are having, but i guess I will see how it holds up from here for me. ... show more

Really like this product so far. Fits nicely in my hand, the magnet keeps it secure on a golf cart. The interface is easy to understand. While it doesn't have voice like my old Golf Buddy VS4 does, the larger color screen is easier to see. And, I really like the i-Caddie feature but I'm sure most golfers won't use it as they know their own club distances. However I do wish the back of it was totally black, so marks and scratches wouldn't show up so easily. ... show more

2ND UPDATE - COMPLETELY FROZE UP AFTER TWO HOLES! ACTUALLY NOT EVEN HALFWAY THROUGH THE SECOND. NO WAY TO RESET OR EVEN TURN OFF! JUST HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THE BATTERY DIES. i REALLY HOPED THIS WOULDN'T BE ANOTHER FLAWED PRODUCT BUT I WAS WRONG. MY LAST REVIEW SAID I WAS GOING TO SELL ON EBAY - NOW IT'S COMPLETELY JUNK! NOTE THE REVIEWS, THERE ARE SEVERAL OTHERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM! IF YOU GO TO THE IZZO SITE NOTE THAT ALL THE REVIEWS ARE CHERRY-PICKED, NOTHING LESS THAN A FOUR-STAR. IZZO WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS! (Initial review when new) Purchased this to replace my Golf Buddy. The good news is that it pulls up the correct course quickly and it's very accurate. There are two problems - one is that if you want to keep score you need to stay on the green of the hole you just played to enter that information. If you leave the green and approach the next tee box before you record your score it switches to the next hole and there is no way to go back. That's a real problem if you're being rushed or are in the habit of recording your score while waiting to hit on the next tee. I have never been able to complete a round without having to abandon the scoring feature and other players get really peeved if you stand there fiddling with your rangefinder. The other problem is that you can set the device to automatically turn off after about half an hour or stay on. Even though we're moving constantly and I'm checking distances or recording scores it seems to turn off after a couple of hours after setting the device to stay on. UPDATE #1: I changed this to a one-star rating because 1) the third time I used it I couldn't pull up the course I was on (major course in Denver suburb!). I updated the firmware at Izzo suggestion 2) Not being able to enter score once you leave green is a killer. Izzo response was "once you're 40+ yards down fairway you should be able to switch back and enter score"! Are you kidding? I'm focused on my next shot at that point! and 3) It keeps turning off after about six or seven holes. Gonna sell on Ebay. ... show more

This is a replacement for my much more expensive Garmin that died. I love the ease of use. So far every course I’ve played has popped right up. The large font size is great, much easier to read than my Garmin. I’ve been comparing the distances shown to the readings from playing partners devices, and it is very consistent. Really good value for the money. I did buy the suggested case to hold it and am glad I did. ... show more
