I bought this because I have a vanity that's still entirely functional though it's at least 5 years old *but* the stool it came with was incredibly annoying because every few days I'd have to tighten the screws that miraculously kept undoing themselves which made the legs wobble. I've been shopping around for a good stool (preferably one that didn't look out of place with my vanity) off and on for probably about 2 years now. I kept backing out because either I didn't like the style, I was unconvinced it would be better than my current in terms of comfort and size/height to my vanity or it was preposterously expensive for a stool. On my last venture shopping around for a replacement, I happened upon this one. It's not exact in terms of style or color, but it's close enough that it doesn't bother me or stand out as a mismatched pair. Clearly, most people shopping aren't in my exact situation, *but* if some of you are looking for a replacement vanity stool for a dark wood, this one does the trick especially since the colors are rich, but muted and so not going to compete with whatever you already have. As a stand alone, it's beautiful. The colors are rich, the cushion is fantastically comfortable and above all else-it's sturdy. When I was putting it together it was super clear that this wasn't going to turn into my previous dilemma since the screws dug into the wood going in. Just in general, the construction of it looks like it will easily serve me for 10 years. The price for what you get is one you don't typically see on amazon anymore-a fair price for a good product. Certainly a steal in the current market place (for future readers, I paid just under $70). I have seen a few pages over the years of very mediocre looking stools that were more than what I paid for my whole vanity setup. Don't fall for it, it's not worth it just to get another one sooner than you're happy with. I'm really glad I waited out and got this one. I included a few pictures of mine since I felt that the ones already put up weren't quite doing it justice. It looks a lot better in person.

This item is as it appears in the listing. I assembled it easily in a few minutes, with only the wee tool that came included. I have had a large and a small person sit on it fir am extended period. Both found it comfortable. Due to the curved shape, it IS a sitting surface much more than a sub-for-a-table surface. We are very pleased with its stability and look at a moderate price point.

This bench was easy to put together and I love it fo me but it just was slightly lower than when I expected. However it is very well made and comfortable. Also attractive in the bedroom. It looks good with our dark wood furniture.

We got this stool for our bedroom. It was easy to assemble and is very sturdy. It’s comfortable to sit on, even when bent over to tie your shoes. I am never worried that the stool will move out from under me, even on our wood floors. It is small enough to not be obtrusive, and large enough that you don’t need to worry about needing more room. I would definitely buy this again after having made this purchase and using it on a daily basis over the last month.
