I’m really impressed with this Ivation 6-Bottle Thermoelectric Wine Cooler. For a compact countertop unit, it delivers far more quality and performance than I expected. The temperature consistency is excellent—it holds a stable environment without fluctuating, which gives me peace of mind for both short-term storage and aging my nicer bottles. Being able to customize the temperature across a generous range (46°–64°F) is a huge plus, especially if you store both reds and whites. One of the standout features is how quiet it is. Since it uses thermoelectric cooling instead of a compressor, there’s virtually no vibration and barely any noise. My wines stay undisturbed, and it doesn’t call attention to itself on the counter. I also appreciate the thoughtful design. The stainless steel finish looks modern and high-end, and the smoked Thermopane door adds both style and protection from UV light. Inside, the humidity stays steady, helping keep corks from drying out—something you don’t always get with smaller coolers. The soft interior lighting is a nice touch, and I like that it can be turned on or off. This review is for the Ivation Premium 6 Bottle Horizontal Thermoelectric Wine Cooler/Chiller Counter Top Red & White Wine Cellar w/Digital Temperature, Freestanding Refrigerator Quiet Operation Fridge. $149.99 This is a great little wine cooler for small spaces that looks nice and works great. We don’t have a huge kitchen or much counter space, so this 6 bottle wine cooler is the perfect size. It holds just the right amount of wine bottles for the 2 of us. This wine cooler is the perfect way to store wines at the right temperature and the right humidity without taking up space in our main kitchen fridge. It kept the red and white wines at a steady temperature and the digital control was easy to use. The lighting was good. There is a soft humming noise, but it’s not annoying in any way. It looks nice in the kitchen and the mirrored front with easy controls is a bonus. The door is well sealed and it swings open easily. It’s portable and not too heavy so we can move it around, if needed. The manual said when the wine cooler is empty, it’ll reach 46 degrees Fahrenheit in 2 hours. I plugged it in and the temperature was 66 degrees Fahrenheit. I set a timer and in 25 minutes, it reached 46 degrees Fahrenheit. We’re casual drinkers so 46 degrees Fahrenheit is fine with us. There is a vent on the back of the wine cooler so you want to make sure you put the wine cooler in a location where the back doesn't get blocked. There’s also a HUGE sticker on the side of the wine cooler that says, “Cyclopentane,” which is a blowing agent for polyurethane foams that are used to insulate refrigerators. I guess the manufacturer wants to remind you that cyclopentane is being used, which is with every refrigerator on the market. If it spills on the floor, you’ll smell gasoline so be aware of that. I just wish the sticker wasn’t so big, but no one notices it because of the location of the wine cooler. Only we noticed it.

I was thrilled for the opportunity to request this wine cooler! By no means am I a sommelier, but this keeps my white wines chilled at just the right temperature. While it's pretty big in terms of length/depth, it does have a nice overall aesthetic and would be beautiful if mounted among cabinets in a home kitchen. The front glass is slightly tinted, so when the light is on, it's not overly bright. The door opens and closes well, and there seems to be a nice, tight seal when it's closed. There is very little noise associated with this wine cooler - it is markedly quiet. There is a timer where the light will shut off on its own after several seconds, so that's a nice feature I appreciate to save a little energy. Overall, this wine cooler is very functional and has a great storage capacity for 8 standard-size bottles. I give 4 stars because the temperature lock feature is a little annoying, but otherwise, for the average consumer, I am impressed with quality and value for the money at $169.
