I work on a lot of Macbooks where I work, and as standard issue, have been deploying a different hub to go along with the Macbooks for all my users. But with costs being an issue long term, I needed to find alternatives. Enter the iVanky hub here that has just made a tremendous difference. I've tried a different product from a well known company in this same price range but there was usually a trade off one way or another. What I needed is power delivery, HDMI out, USB ports for external keyboard and mouse, ethernet AND plug and ply out of the box. A different product before this, I got HDMI, ethernet and the usb ports, but no power delivery. In the same price point, with this iVanky hub, I got everything I needed to accomplish. AND the SD and Micro SD cards on top of that is a plus. Even better, this product is at 37% the cost of what we were giving out as standard issue. This does HDMI out 4K@30Hz, and other resolutions at 60Hz - but I only tested on 4k, 1920x1080 and 1920 x 1200 as those are the various monitor resolutions my users have to drive. BUT I did test this out across multiple types of Macbooks on Mac OS Mojave and Catalina, and am happy to say it was plug and play with all of them. Tested on: 2017 13" Macbook Pro with Touchbar on Mojave - instantly recognized, plug and play with external keyboard, mouse, HDMI and ethernet no issues. 2018 13" Macbook Air on Mojave - instantly recognized, plug and play with external keyboard, mouse, HDMI and ethernet no issues. 2017 15" Macbook Pro with Touchbar on Mojave - - instantly recognized, plug and play with external keyboard, mouse, HDMI and ethernet no issues. 2020 16" Macbook Pro with Touchbar on Catalina - - instantly recognized, plug and play with external keyboard, mouse, HDMI and ethernet no issues. Build Quality: Made of nice aluminium, hub has a nice heft to it, build quality is solid. The iVany logo lights up immediately when plugged in so you know it's active, the LED is a nice subtle touch. MicroSD card transfer speeds are good as well, I'm not using the fastest microSD cards out there, but its not much of a factor for consideration for my users' needs so I didn't pay too much attention here. It works and speeds are decent and is a bonus just to have it, so no qualms there. Blackmagic speed test in the picture is for the microSD speeds - again not using the fastest card out there, so testing was just for throughput, not to break records or anything like that. Overall, it goes up against the much pricier product I was ordering for my users before, at 37% of the price, so that's over 60% savings, very happy with the price to performance ration plus the SD and microSD card readers built in are a bonus. Happy with this as I have options available to give to my users. Definitely recommend.

I got the fusion dock pro two as my Docking Station. When I unpacked the item I noticed that it was packed in exceptionally premium materials – this sort of packaging that you get for a $1000 iPhone. It made a first impression that they are truly first class. When I got the dock and cables out I was impressed by the heft and apparent quality of the dock Hardware. This might be good option for you if you don't care about having plug and play because it is definitely not plug-in play. You have to download a driver just like they disclose upfront in there posting but I did not find it to be a pleasant experience when I started getting symptoms right off the bat on my triple monitor set up. I couldn't drag Windows inside of my Mac mini M4 Pro with macOS 26 Tahoe. If you've ever used a Mac you know that this is an essential part of functionality if you have more than one monitor that you're working with. There's no way getting around the need to be able to drag windows from one monitor to the other the way the operating system works. And it's no problem as long as you don't introduce any third-party hardware or software that does not play well with McIntosh. Not only could I not drag Mac Windows between displays but my zoom levels kept getting reset which was a big hassle and unacceptable to me. In fairness I will say that it may have had something to do with the fact that I have poor eyesight so have to run my monitors at a high zoom level. This could have introduced some sort have extra challeng for the display link Driver. However, it seems like a premium dock company and dock ought to be able to have a product solid enough not to be thrown a curveball by people who need to zoom their monitors. I guess bottom line I don't want to convey that this is a bad piece of Hardware but I do want to make it very clear to everyone that if you want to be able to plug it in and have it just work without fussing, you might want to keep looking. I got so frustrated with fooling with this (and I am an IT graduate with 13 years of experience in working with Hardware and operating systems (Windows though) before I lost my eyesight or most of it. And even I got sick of tinkering around under the hood with this thing. If you don't mind troubleshooting Hardware software and some guys and gals may even actually enjoy it for its own sake then I'd say go for it. But I should have known better than to purchase Hardware that involved additional drivers when Apple resisted using the display link Driver or accepting the display link Driver into the Macintosh ecosystem for many Years. There's a reason for that. I spent literally hours and research overall and decided to return this within the 30 day window (actually within the first week) so that I could get my Amazon refund and purchase something more plug-in play. I would recommend that you look very carefully for "plug and play" docs and hubs! I ended up getting a dock by the company "pluggable." I got there thunderbolt four dock that is their 16-in-1 Dock – the one that includes two HDMI ports. This way I can plug my primary monitor – the one I have in the center – directly into my Mac mini and then plug my two peripheral monitors left and right into the HDMI ports. Pluggable get some great reviews from Apple Mac experts and reviewers for its plug-in play capability and convenience. However, here is a word of caution even for the pluggable brand! Even pluggable cells units that require the "display link Driver." So just because you get a pluggable unit doesn't mean that you can get plug-in play and not have to fool with configuring Drivers and hope that they like your system. So if you shop at pluggable or any other device my recommendation is that you look very very carefully that there are no drivers involved and that it is "plug and play!" Another word of caution is that don't just look at "compatible with Mac" or "Mac" being mentioned in the header because I have found that with this dock and other hardware that I have gotten (like three different mice) the vendors are pretty liberal about throwing the word Mac around without making it abundantly clear that it is not plugged and play compatible. I guess some of them just hope that you will assume that it is plugged and play and when you find out it's not you will just work through it and not bother to return it? If you're ever as a Mac user in the market for a mouse, do not think that because they mention Mac in the description or title heading that all of the buttons on the mouse will work out of the box. I had three different mice including some very high-end ones that I had to send back because it turned out that only the three essential buttons worked – the left button the right button and the scroll wheel button none of the extra buttons that they advertise which is usually at least three other buttons and some of them more than that. But in all cases only basic functionality was compatible out of the box and to be able to get past that you have to buy some very sophisticated mouse button mapping software like "USB overdrive" or "steer mouse." I just throw in that last bit to my fellow Mac users for free :-)

This was a decent price for what you get ut of it my laptop automatically downloaded the display link and changed the 2.5g internet does a lot and comes in a really nice package plus it will give you what you need with 3 displays and higher internet speed if that is what you have coming in. This is truly an all in one system. It is smaller than I thought from the picture but very well made all metal and seems tough with a pretty well cooling set up also easy to set up with good instructions.

It's for Apple M5 laptop. after going thru 4 diff ones this one hit the spot.Its small enough not to have a large shadow on my desk purposeful enough to accept my inputs and powerful enough to leave my apple prods on charge always and my laptop never on orange or yellow.

This docking station works really well, I was able to run 3 monitors through it, one is a 34" widescreen, one is a 28" 4K monitor and the last is a portable 16" 2K monitor. all 3 screens are displaying smoothly and running at optimal refresh rate. The docking station itself is pretty compact, but includes all the needed ports for me. The built-in SD and micro SD card slots work and can read/write up to 60Mbps speed (at least that's what my cards support). So far it runs great, very reliable and no issues found so far.

works well except ethernet cuts off after a couple minutes. going to try a firmware update to see if that cures it. Have contacted CS to see if they have any advice.using on new LG Gram laptop gets hot, planning on putting a heatsink on it to help dissipate the heat. maybe even set up a little 5v desk fan for it. no venting in the exterior case. runs 3 hdmi, that's nice, as advertised. 5 stars if ethernet problem fixed or replaced

I am currently using this dock with a Mac Mini and a Samsung Odyssey G95NC ultra-wide monitor (running in dual 32-inch mode), and the setup was incredibly smooth. Driver installation was painless, and the product performs exactly as advertised. Display Performance Coming from cheaper USB-C dongles, my primary concern was whether the picture quality would be consistent across different ports. I have one side connected via HDMI and the other via DisplayPort (DP); I’m happy to report that the visual output is identical on both. The consistency remains excellent even when mixing the dock's built-in HDMI and DP outputs. Build Quality & Power The device feels premium and well-constructed. While the design is a bit "boxy" compared to slimmer alternatives, the trade-off is a sturdy, high-quality build. Power Delivery: The dock provides ample power for both accessories and a laptop (though I don't personally rely on it for the Mac Mini). Data: I have an external drive connected that has performed flawlessly with zero connectivity drops. Crucial Note: Streaming & HDCP Because this dock utilizes DisplayLink technology, there is a known limitation regarding DRM-protected content (Netflix, Disney+, etc.). You cannot stream these services through native Apple apps or standard Safari/Edge browsers. The Workaround: If you need to stream, use Chrome or Firefox and disable "Hardware Acceleration" in the browser settings. Once toggled off, streaming works perfectly across all screens. This wasn't a dealbreaker for me since I rarely watch shows at my desk, but it’s a trade-off for such a reliable multi-monitor setup. I recommend this for anyone needing a mix of HDMI/DP connections and additional USB ports, provided you're okay with the quick browser tweak for media!
