I bought this January 7, 2020. Until recently it worked reasonably well. Now it does not work well. I have used the AC adapter and the batteries and it still does the same thing. It opens without any reason end it does this over and over again. I am not happy and I feel as though I’m throwing my money away. There is no contacting anyone who can explain what has gone wrong. Got ac adapter and works perfectly. Wide opening ensures no misses. Opens perfect everytime, love it! Have had about a month now. Replacement for smaller one that we lost battery back for and kept having problems with.

I purchased this product for a very loved family member and was talking about how well this product worked and how convenient this was in my life and now I feel like I have let them down, there is nothing like talking up a product that you love so much and have it be something not so much! Just want to point out I did not even want give this product even a single star, unfortunately we have to submit at least a single star for their performance all need to be heard in our comments! I love this trash can. The sensor is a little finicky which takes getting used to, but its not a problem at all. Just make sure you use the right sized trash bags, and the info on Amazon told me it took C Batteries, when in reality it took D Batteries. So be weary of that.

We had purchased a 20 gallon unit from another company and hated it. The can was rectangular with a restricted area where trash bag was secured by clips. When the bag was full it was almost impossible to pull it through the restriction. The new iTouchless unit is round with no restriction at top. The bag is held in place with a metal ring.
