Unlike traditional plastic mirrors that constantly shake, vibrate, or require you to dangerously crane your neck while driving, this monitor sits right on my dashboard center console. I can check on my baby with a quick, safe glance down.The 1080P video quality is crystal clear during the day, and the 149-degree wide-angle view catches everything without distortion. I feel so much better now that I can see my baby. Compared to a mirror, it’s much easier to see and nice I can glance from the road to the monitor easily. Best $30 I’ve spent in a long time. Is it an Ultra HD video quality camera..? Of course not lol. But it does exactly what it needs to do and the quality is just fine for the purpose it serves. I can see her facial features perfectly clearly so I’d be able to see if she were choking or having trouble breathing or anything like that. Install is effortless. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is a little bit of an inconvenience that the wire has to travel across the car, from the backseat where the camera is, to the front where the display is.. BUT the wire provided is suuuuper long so it’s really easy to tuck it into the seat folds, and under the mat, and thru the gap next to the center console, up to the front. I have a large size SUV and after I was done tucking the wire you can hardly notice it. I previously had one of those mirrors that attached to the headrest of the seat that her car seat is strapped in to, but having to adjust the headrest of her car seat as she got bigger (lifting it higher as she gets taller), I could no longer see the mirror effortlessly in my rear view because it was now blocked by her car seat headrest. I couldn’t view the mirror without physically turning around to see it, which is obviously a hazard on the road. Also, the mirror was large and bulky and would fall down a bit every time we went over bumps, etc. Now I just have this tiny little camera that’s very snugly attached to the headrest of the seat, it doesn’t slip AT ALL going over bumps, and I just look straight ahead while driving and can see her every move. This camera has been great! We got the wired one because it was substantially cheaper than a Bluetooth version and if you tuck the wires between the seats you barely notice them. Has worked great for 2 years now. I like this much better than using a mirror, which I read can become dangerous if you ever have a crash. Safety first! ... show more

I love this camera. I have had this for a little over 4 years now & it just now stopped working. Great night time vision. Gives you peace of mind as a first time mom. Sad that I won’t be able to continue to use it with my now newborn but for the price it’s definitely worth buying.

I've been using this for 2 months now and it has been great. Night vision is awesome and works perfectly. The camera was easy to attach to the headrest with the included straps. The cable that runs from the camera to the monitor is nice and long. I drive a Kia Soul and I had to bundle the excess cable behind the monitor so I'd say there's plenty of cable for longer vehicles. I've had no issues with my monitor trying to move. I just put the pad that came with it on my dash and the monitor on top of that and so far it's stayed put and has not tried to slid or fall over. The only con to this camera that I have found is during a bright sunny day I can't have the canopy up to block the sun on baby's car seat. If I have it up then it's too dark in the car seat to see baby. However, I put up a sun shade on the window to remove the need to use the canopy so that is no longer a problem. Recommend 100%. This camera is a better alternative to using a mirror to see baby. It also feels like it's safer. ... show more

It’s been great up until it stopped working, which is inconvenient. It started glitching for maybe a week and now it has totally stopped. Since I’ve bought it, it seems as though the “reliability” rating has gone down a lot which makes me very hesitant to repurchase.
