So, there really are a lot of thoughtful features, and it seems like a lot of quality, too. Seems like the noise cancellation works pretty well for the person in the other end of the phone, but I don't talk on the phone much. I care more about the noise blocking / cancelation for me, but even when i manage to get a perfect fit, it doesn't block as much noise as another pair of $30 earbuds I have, which don't have any wires at all, not even connecting them together. The good stuff: Controls are big and easily discerned, even if I were wearing work gloves. The many different sized pads are nice, thick memory foam (quite comfortable), and actually screw onto the speaker posts. They're not coming off - no way. The controls are on the wire coming from the right earbud, so there's a similarly- sized weight on the left wire, which helps keep it balanced - nice touch. Could help keep the microphone forward, if you don't have long hair, or don't put the wire behind your neck. Very easily paired. I like the volume control for the ambient/ transparent sound - also easy to control, and large. Nice that there are several levels available, too. There are magnets to help keep them together when not wearing them. The over-ear wires are gentle and definitely help keep the buds from falling all the way out. They are low profile, and over east wires didn't seem to interfere much with glasses. There really did seem to be a lot of quality, thoughtful details. The bad: There's a constant hum/buzz. That's a terrible thing. It's not super loud, but was always there. The controls are heavy, so they're always kinda trying to get pulled out of my ears. The balance weight does help a bit, but no wires would be a lot better. I have long hair, so the wires get tangled in it, or sit on my neck, and keep tugging on my ears. The little over east wires make it difficult and awkward to put them on. Within an hour of lawnmowing, theover-ear wires were beginning to hurt - couldn't possibly tolerate wearing them all day. The noise blocking (i.e. what is allowed through for me to hear) was not even good enough for mowing the lawn, even when the fit was optimal. I still had to put the volume higher than is advisable. No way they would block enough noise for table saws and the like. The good fit came loose as I started to sweat, and moved around - couldn't maintain the seal, so most of the time, they blocked very little noise. Overall - just not nearly good enough for the price. I really had high hopes. Oh well. Hope they keep trying - there really is a lot of good stuff in these. Just not enough of the critical stuff. Gotta stick with over ear muffs for the shop.

The most part I like about the headphones is the awareness feature. working in the field using high impact drill, the high decibel Nosie is canceled out and I'm able to hear your background noise while working. That is what i like about the headphones. They truly work to well, and I'm Happy with them. They do last about 10 hours without playing music through the headphone, with music they hold up about 8 hours of power level. Headphones are tough and can hold up the construction life so I'm sure that I will be buying another set.

These are great if you are in an environment with a lot of intermittent noise. It doesn't work well with constant noise. Go with the cheaper version without the pass through sound if you're in an environment with constant loud noise. Sound quality is great and battery life seems good.

Love these wired earbuds, we're considering a second pair. We use them because both of us need some hearing enhancement and the loud noise blocking is just a perk. I use the non-noise blocking tips because I wanted both passthru enhancement and Bluetooth in a quiet setting. Hubby uses the noise-blocking tips because he works around loud environmental noises. We give them four stars because they don't stay in your ears perfectly, and if you have passthru set at the highest level, you get a feedback screech when they pop out. The wire that connects the two is comfortable when set around the back of your neck, and is short enough to be worn in front too -- but then the controls sorta flop around in your way. A convenient clip is included in addition to the piece that takes up the extra slack. That is a nice touch.

I wear headphones every day when I’m working so I can listen to good stuff rather than everyone else around me… These headphones are perfect for that… I can turn off the aware system and not hear a damn thing but my music… Or I can turn the where system on and I can hear them screaming at each other like normal… Best part is when I get home I can still wear them with the wife turn off the aware and she goes away… Turn on the aware and I can hear what she saying on my own terms… Did have one problem where they would stop playing for YouTube commercials and not come back working unless say Changed settings real quick… I emailed customer service about this and immediately had another pair in the mail to me… Could not leave that in less than two days I had gotten my new ones and they work absolutely perfect… The only complaint with them is if there is a constant noise in the background that is loud enough, The aware system will block the noise but it will have a tick in the headphone letting you know that there is a noise there but it is blocking it. Once I realized that’s what the tick was I’m all good .

Noise canceling is passive, so it only cuts out so much. I use them at work which requires a lot of head movement. They don’t keep a tight seal so they are not great at noise canceling. My employer requires certified hearing protection. These are far from the best at noise protection. But they are certified so I can wear them and listen to tunes and get text messages and phone calls. Music sound level is very low so is easy to hear everything going on around you.

These are great for noise cancellation but also can also allow the background noise you still want to keep an ear on coming in clear while you listen to your music or whatever. Battery is good and like the band to keep it around my neck.
