I like the boho/beach feel of this necklace, and it looks better being worn in person than it does in the product photos, in my opinion. The cowrie shells are the focal points of this necklace, and they have been so thoroughly cleaned and polished that they shine. The seed beads are of various earthy shades, and the three strands actually lay as they should without a bunch of fussing and preening. The only thing I'm not really crazy about are the golden colored spacers where the cowrie shells are, but that's more of a personal taste. The 3 inch extender is a great size to adjust this 19 inch long necklace, and the closure works without any problem to open or close. Everything looks and feels like very good quality, and this pretty necklace comes in a pretty colored sheer organza drawstring bag that has lovely gold designs foiled throughout that make the presentation feel extra special. The necklace I received looks a lot different than the one shown as the product photo, and different than several of the necklaces shown in reviews. The closest is the 5/31/2020 review by Kate B. The bracelet I received has three strands - a gold-colored chain that easily tangles, a strand that has a chain near the clasp, then some inexpensive larger plastic and gold-colored beads, and a third that is multi-colored seed beads with two gold-colored leaves, and two tassels, one red and one orange. Just now, when I went to put it on, the strand with just beads pulled apart from the end, so now it's impossible to wear. ISHVAKU also makes a matching multi-color bracelet, which you can see in two of the photos. The necklace has a LOT of packaging, which I dislike - the necklace is in a plastic bag and has a ISHVAKU tag on it. Then the bag and a bigger ISHVAKU card is inside the pretty floral gift bag, which is then in another plastic bag. I HATE all that waste! The current price of $15.99 is okay, if you don't mind a necklace that will be a surprise.

UPDATE: I was enjoying wearing this necklace, but it fell apart in the middle of my third time wearing it. I was getting out of my car and it didn't appear as though there was any undue cause for one of the beaded tiers to break off from the clasp, but that is what happened. Unfortunately, the string is frayed at the end and can't be slipped back into the ring that held it to the clasp. Very disappointed. -------------- Original Review -------------------- The necklace I received looked much more pastel in color in the product photo than what I received. It's nice, but I would have preferred the more delicate shades. The pale green crystal-looking beads are very pretty. I think they are plastic, but they look enough like glass. The product photo also shows the little tassels as being tapered, mine are fanned out which calls way too much attention to what I think should be a nice detail rather than what people immediately focus on. Additionally, the tassels are not positioned in the same place as the photo. In the photo, the tassels are in positions that look nice. On my necklace, the orange tassel is at the very bottom center and the green one is up toward my shoulder. It really makes the necklace look unbalanced and the orange tassel looks like a too-small central pendant or something. I actually had my husband remove the tassels so I could try to make them look less fanned out and then reattach them in as in the product photo, but I actually like the necklace just as well without them. For the price, I don't mind having to fuss with it to get it right, and the color will work with some tops I have; it's just not quite the colors I was expecting.

This is fun necklace that comes in a small organza bag - ready for gift giving! It's handmade and it shows: the work is sloppy: the necklace doesn't hang well and some tassels don't stay in place and slide around. Nonetheless, I feel like it's ok for the price: it's bright and colorful and would add a playful touch to any outfit. Taking a star off for the imperfections mentioned above: even if you take great care to straighten everything, some strands look droopy, crooked and tangle easily as you move. Sliding tassels are less of a problem but might be annoying if you like balance: you may end up with 3 tassels in one place and "bald" spots in others.

The Ishvaku Bohemian handmade delicate beaded necklace with puka cowrie shells for women and girls with 3 strands is okay. This shipped well with no damage coming to the product at all. It does not emit any weird odors or chemical like smells. It was not tangled up at all. Be aware that there's a “cancer and reproductive harm” warning and for it not to be worn by any one under the age of 14. I wish this was posted in the listing for those to know that avoid such things. It comes with a lovely gold and red see-through patterned drawstring bag which makes it nice for gifting and receiving. The necklace is 19 inches at it's longest. It has a three inch extender to adjust it slightly to you preferred preference. I can just slip this right over my head and don't use the back clasp at all. The shells are little off-centered on my necklace so they don't look as precise as I hoped they would. I do love the colors and the natural theme. There's no noticeable knots, strings parts sticking out, or worn out and broken beads and pieces. Overall, this is an affordable necklace that goes well with Summer styles and beach wear. I'm currently using it for my knitting shop model mannequins to wear that feature beach and market bags.
