I didnt' know what to expect. I've used it to trim flux core wire, knock off some slag, remove contact tips and pickup my metal coupons. Construction is good, the grips don't feel loose after heavy use. Irwin makes good stuff, I'd buy another pair if I needed to.

Purchased for son taking welding class. They are working well for him. I have never had any issues with Irwin brand tools, and I am not nice to tools. Great value for price.

I did my research when I bought these my frend at welding class saw mine and he bought the same type . He uses his also in class . I use it constantly when welding in class . I graduated already and I use them still these are the best ones to use .
