Great 16 oz hammer for the money, love it. At this price why buy at Home Deport/Lowes

    • Good and Economical Basic Hammer for Home Use
Size: 16 oz
This is a good "basic" hammer to keep around the house for occasional use. I don't know what steel is used, but it is well-finished and then completely covered in a thick clear coat, probably to keep it from rusting. The shaped rubber grip is comfortable and should help prevent vibration and hand fatigue. All in all, a good hammer to have around the home. ... show more

    • Sturdy and well-balanced.
Size: 16 oz
My old Craftsman claw hammer was a much used and beloved component of my tool kit. They're a bit of a rarety, both brand and style-wise, in Germany where I now reside and so disappeared one day at our construction site. After forty-odd years of usage, I guess it was time for a replacement, tho except for a nick or two and a slightly worn grip, it remained my "go to" hammer. ... show more

    • Sure, it’s a hammer. But it’s a really solid hammer for a good price.
Size: 16 oz
If you’re an average weekend warrior, I don’t see why you would get any hammer other than this. It’s definitely not a “Walmart, cheap” type hammer, very heavy, very solid, and very price effective.
