The package arrived earlier than expected. The sprayer will suffice for the user's needs if you have a lot of things to spray around and want to drive yourself around while doing it. The hose line to the wand was more than adequate to reach the driver as it was approximately 15ft. long and we only needed it to reach from just behind the seat. The pump will not be enough to spray anything higher than 4 ft. at the most, but it was a gift to my sister and she said it will work fine for her needs. Once mounted it only takes a few seconds to figure out where the switch was located to activate the pump which comes on only when the wand trigger is pulled. A velcro patch was included for mounting the on/off switch that we located to the left of the seat on the fender just under the seat. There are two "gun clips" included for the wand to hang on but the hose around the sprayer could use one or two hangers so when wrapped around the tank the hose doesn't fall off when riding around. I'll figure out something on that later, but we used zip ties temporarily to keep the hose from falling and getting wrapped under a tire. The battery clips worked fine under the seat but have to be laid down so the seat would not touch them or interfere with the safety of the seat. Once in place, they held on, so if it works I leave it alone. Some mowers have the battery elsewhere and there is enough wire to reach most standard mower battery locations.     • Pump died after five months...upgrading the review for the great customer service I recieved.
Product rating would be two stars at most as the pump died after only five months but I'm increasing it to four based on my customer service experience. I purchased this sprayer in May of 2022 and only used it a few times (with plain water). In early November of 2022 I went to use the sprayer and it was completely dead. I changed out my switch with a brand new one and still nothing. I emailed customer service and didn't see their response (buried in emails) until a month later. I was instructed to call customer service and was provided a phone number. Joseph was a great help and informed my that the sprayer/pump only had a 90 day warranty, slightly unbelievable and this is something that is not explicitly stated unless you contact the manufacturer. However, since I was not informed of this fact by the first customer service rep he proceeded to order a replacement pump at no charge to be sent to me. I appreciate Joseph's help in sending me a new pump. He also informed me that this new pump has a 30 day warranty. So, for anyone looking at this sprayer I hope my experience helps you if for nothing other than learning the product warranty duration, which is unfortunately quite short. If I were to ... show more

    • Great for small food plots and work around the house
I've been putting in a couple of small food plots for wildlife for several years with a hand pump backpack sprayer. This year I decided to upgrade my gear. This sprayer looked like the best option for reliability and not breaking the bank. There's not much assembly involved other than attaching the hose. I would recommend using some plumbing tape on the fittings, as I have a small leak where the hose attaches to the sprayer handle, no matter how much I clamp it down. I did four small food plots and also sprayed my back fence where a power company right of way has gotten overgrown and taken it over. It worked well in all applications and was much easier on the old man I've become than the backpack sprayer. My only two complaints are that I wish it had a strainer/filter on the fill and when it stops spraying, there's still quite a bit left in the tank. I ended up with a good bit of trash in the tank that the strainer would have caught. I also realize that no sprayer is going to pump the tank dry, but sometimes there's a good gallon and a half left when it starts having trouble. Overall, I'm happy with it, especially for the price. Hopefully I'll get as many years of use out of it as my backpack sprayer. ... show more

Like small tank and pump with pressure shutoff. It was ideal for less than 1 acre application projects. Sprayer easy to modify and add solenoid and a 2 nozzle spray broom for broadcast spraying. Added a drain valve to allow easier cleanouts. Wish it had way to keep chemicals mixed in tank while spraying but no deal breaker. No dislikes. A simple solution to adding a sprayer to a zero turn mower. ... show more

Updated 5/27/23 After using my Ironton ATV Spot Sprayer several times, I determined that the 1 GPM sprayer was just too small. On May 18th I purchased a Bayite 12V 2 GPM pump and installed it. The Bayite pump comes with everything you need to install it to the Ironton; all of the Ironton hoses match the fittings on the pump. There is nothing else to buy. This new pump makes the Ironton ATV Spot Sprayer an excellent sprayer for only an additional $37.99 and about 1 hr. to install. (Amazon: copy & Paste) bayite 12V DC Fresh Water Pump 7.5 L/Min 2 GPM 100 PSI Adjustable 12 Volt Diaphragm Pump Self Priming Sprayer Pump with Pressure Switch for RV Camper 8/21/22 I received my Ironton ATV Spot Sprayer - 8-Gallon Capacity, 1 GPM, 12 Volt yesterday and put it in service today. First this is definably not a commercial sprayer, and I would not recommend it to anyone with more than an acre, however it is an excellent sprayer for anyone with a small lot or homeowner who needs to kill a few weeds or fertilize their flower garden. The sprayer is well made and very compact, however the pump is much too small as the pressure will drop within seconds after depressing the handle on the spray gun and the spray mixture will go from a nice fine spray to large droplets that will not extend more than five feet from the spray gun. My unit will defiantly not reach (spray) a vertical height of twelve feet, or a horizonal distance of twenty feet when the spray gun handle is depressed more than one second. Bottom line I am going to keep the sprayer but will likely put a larger pump on it. ... show more

Is as advertised. I have 3 acres of field and forest. This sprayer just made a hard job easy. Set it in the bed of my truck and used the boat battery to power it. It'll spray 10 feet plus the 12 foot hose so you can knock out a pretty wide swath o weeds. Very happy buyer.
