Very sturdy bed and the size was perfect for my tiny home. The storage under the bed I use to keep extra sheets and towels. I purchased a 12” thick mattress, anything smaller will cause a gap between back of bed, which things could easily fall through the gap. I am basing my review off the price of the item and I am going to break it down into categories. I wish I could give it 4 1/2 stars because that is fair. I paid $197 US. This is going in my home office basically for my cats to hang out. Didn’t need anything for people to sleep in. Appearance: 5 stars. Really pretty especially for the price point. The quilted parts on the side are vinyl. Part of me wishes they were fabric but if they were cleaning would be a nightmare. They don’t look bad at all though and I don’t think it takes away from the appearance. Durability: 5 stars. It is actually metal so it should last a while although oddly enough the slats seem to be the weakest item but still overall very good. Hardware Appearance: 1 star. This was disappointing and unnecessary. The hardware is all silver none of it is recessed so you can’t put a vinyl dot over them. I did do some research and there are white topped screws and sort a white plastic covering that snaps over the screw. I will be updating and it will be fine. Storage: 1 star. Those under the bed storage bins are on wheels and there is no track to keep them held in place. I am going to try some peel and stick plastic magnets to see how they work. If they don’t work well I will get rid of them entirely and replace with an under the bed storage unit. Assembly: 0-1 stars. Hands down worst instruction illustrations ever. There are no written instructions. No videos on a company website. It’s too bad because once you figure out what needs to be done it’s quick and easy to do. But understanding is difficult. I highly recommend using a power drill with an Allen wrench attachment. It goes super fast. NOTE: I saw in someone else’s review you need a 12 inch mattress or you will have a gap in the back. This is 100% accurate. It’s going to be super close with a 10 inch. I would go for a 12 inch, which I did and was perfect. Overall thoughts: Anyone who complains about this bed is crazy. It’s a $200 bed and it looks great. If you want a high quality daybed go to the furniture store and it will cost you between $800-$1,000. Or even a better quality one on Amazon or Wayfair will run you $425-$600. If you are looking for something for home office or guest bedroom or just don’t have a lot of money this is a 4 1/2 star item. You can muddle through the assembly and upgrade the things that need extra help with very little money. Hope this helps anyone looking into purchasing. It is a beautiful bed once put together, instructions are difficult as it’s only illustrations but it’s common sense looking through it. It took me about 3 hrs building it myself. You basically get what you pay for - so material isn’t great quality but fair for the price point. My only complaint is when screwing in the through the “wood” parts of the frame especially the storage under the bed I apparently screwed too tight that the whole bolt within the frame came out with the screw & there’s no way to screw it back in since it’s a powder felt material trying to get it back in. pictures below Other than that it’s beautiful like the pictures so we’ll test it’s durability over time ... show more

    • Flimsy and poorly made
While it looks nice, it creaks horribly and feels pretty rickety. As an average-size grown adult, I barely feel like I can sit on the bed for a goodnight hug let alone to read a book or lay down. The bars under the mattress are just poorly constructed and ineffective. The shape of the frame also just doesn't fit our twin mattress well and it slips around, leaving uncomfortable metal edges exposed that cut into you while sitting/laying on it. We have another metal twin mattress frame from another manufacturer (but also purchased on Amazon) and it feels infinitely more stable, sturdy, and high quality. I've had many adult guests sleep on that frame without a single concern but I would never have an adult sleep on this for fear of collapse or injury. The drawers also work poorly and tip forward because of the weight of the front panel unless you have something fairly substantial at the very back of the drawer as a counterweight. My daughter has loved this bed. The little wheels on the drawers were a little hard to get to not fall off with her thick carpet but I actually duct taped them on the top to keep them from wiggling out of place and they’ve been great.
