I like these filters for my iRobot. They filter the air well. But can become dirty fast. Especially if you have cats or dogs. I found a way to prolong the life of the filter. I use my shop air compressor to blow out the dust. Just make sure to blow the air through the backside. Do not blow the air through the front side, where yellow ribbon is. I bought the real thing this time. Stared our roomba with the original filter. Didn’t know we would have to replace the pieces so often and that they were so expensive! We got the knock offs (8 of them I think) and they lasted about a month each running on avg. 3 times every other day. Once on each floor of the house. My husband said to try the legit ones to judge the difference. Right off? 4 times the price. I got 3 for $20 when I could have got 8 for $16. I noticed the cheap ones have a fabric covering over the intake side which super limits intake ability. It’s like sucking a cigarette with a filter vs. no filter. I think the ability to pick up things is better but for simple lightweight pickup like animal hair? Go the cheap route. More lightweight bang for your buck. ... show more

It boils down to air movement through the filter and the OEM filters don’t plug up and become useless nearly as fast as a cheaper one I purchased.
