We needed storage containers for our camping equipment. We use them on a small trailer, so we needed them to be weather/rain resistant. We needed them to close sturdily to prevent the tops from flying off on the road (without using ugly and cumbersome tarp straps). We also didn’t want the items inside getting wet. So we opted for these which, by reading the product specifications, we knew would fit our trailer in a configuration we desired. They arrived quickly, but I only took the top container from the box initially. A week or ao later, when working on the storage, I found that the last container from the box was damaged during shipping. It had a hole in one corner. I immediately took photos and contacted the seller with the information requesting a replacement. They replied promptly that they could not replace a single container, but rather I could choose from two options: return them all, OR keep the damaged container for a partial refund. Because I really liked the quality of the containers and I could make a new configuration on the trailer, I opted to keep the damaged one and use only the good three on our trailer. I bought these because I had purchased one before and it was the only weather proof storage box I could find. Used them to store game consoles and accessories while deployed and they survived a flood with no internal leaks.

Totes are more sturdy than an average tote. The locking mechanism is nice but not great. They are definitely not "weather proof". The gasket around the lid is a foam not a rubber so the gasket retains its form rather than expanding back out. This causes the product to not have a full seal and the latching mechanism loses its ability to stay closed securely after its initial use. The basin section is also not rigid enough around the top to create a good seal in the middle section of the tote. Again, this tote is not "weather proof". These totes are a good size, they hold a lot without being too big to carry. The latches will hold the lid down if you are storing items that may cause the lid to pop off, like blankets. They stack nicely with areas in the top and bottom corners that nest together. Bottom line is this. These totes are good for storage but don't get them if you need a truly "weather proof" tote. ... show more

Needed weather resistant storage for the back of my pickup when driving with my travel trailer. Had bought 3 to see how they look. They appear to be a bit tougher than typical storage bins, have a rubber seal and locking lids. Only concern at first sight is how tight the seal is along sides with no buckle. Well it had to happen sooner or later. I have ordered this product 2 previous times and it arrived in perfect condition. This time however it showed up with 2 broken lids and 2 defective containers see pictures the lids are cracked right near the corners and I think the reason it failed this time is that the 4 Styrofoam corner protectors that were in the last 2 packages were missing from this shipment. I subtracted one star for the missing packaging and I subtracted the second star for the manufacturing defects you can clearly see on the actual containers. Now the other 2 lids and containers were spot on in perfect condition. I have 8 of these already in use in my garage and find them to be very valuable as to they stack perfectly and the sealing system works very well, and they can really hold some bulky items for instance one of them has a 2 person tent, 2 trekking poles, a queen sized inflatable air mattress, a small Coleman fueled lantern, 2 pair gloves, a hatchet, 3 24oz fuel bottles, a tent fan and light, a quick pump for the air mattress, 2 1lb propane tanks and torch tip, a single burner Coleman fuel stove, and probably 15 other small assorted items. pretty much everything except pots and pans for a camping trip. The pots and pans were in there but I decided having fuel and the things I was going to be cooking food on both in the same tote was probably not the best idea just in case something leaked. Coleman fuel flavored chili is not something I would enjoy for dinner. So would I buy them again? Yes I would and hopefully they will arrive in as good of condition as my first 2 orders. ... show more
