The clip locks are the weak link of using these, they’re easy to break until you realize you don’t pull down on the clips like other designs, you gently pull up with your fingers from underneath, then they lock into place and don’t move. Still, a few have broken. I contacted customer service in the USA, they wrote back immediately asking for a photo of an emblem on the bottom which tells them which state in the USA the tubs were manufactured in, asked no other questions and sent me a pack of 12 clip locks! Made in USA, USA personable customer service, fantastic. I thought the tubs were a little bit expensive at first, but now - I’ll gladly pay a little extra to support responsive domestic customer service and manufacturing. Between the manufacturer and Amazon there could be more done to protect the product. I received mine, box in a box, and the Amazon box was crushed on one side. Inside there was just some brown wrap, not nearly enough to provide any substantial padding. Three of the handles had their nubs broken off. One handle was in tact but not attached. Still usable, and I was able to fix the handles with some epoxy and scrap metal rod. My suggestion to the manufacturer, leave the handles off. You can see the comments where they arrive broken. This will cut down on returns. They aren't super difficult to attach. Amazon, if you're going to do a box in a box, add some better protection for the product. This will also help reduce returns. These are perfect for my gear closet, the handles can pop off easily if you're rough with them. They have made organization of headlamps, micro spikes, dry bags, and all of our hiking/kayaking/camping accessories so easy. I just add a label to the outside and can quickly find what I'm looking for.
