Great for when you can't supervise a puppy free run of the house. I'm able to keep a perfect octagon shape by building a framework around the inside perimeter using half inch PVC tubing ( 8 straight sections each 2 feet long), joined by 45 degree couplings. Maintaining a perfect octagon shape of the pen is really key to keeping the dog inside it by avoiding the pen's collapse. We can leave home confident nothing in the house is chewed up or destroyed. As an update, I put 3/4" slit sleeve water pipe insulation over the PVC tubes and then used zip ties to secure the tubing to each of the pen's panels. I was hoping this was a folding pen. My fault for not reading but I bought it based on the size. It was super simple to put together and the sizing is perfect however it’s not exactly portable as it doesn’t fold. In order to be moved you had to disassemble and reassemble. I wanted a fold and go but the size is the only reason I’m keeping it because I can’t find one comparable. Will have to keep the box and take it with us everywhere for when we have to tear it down due to wind or anything. ... show more

I am SO grateful for this playpen. My puppy is such a handful, and sometimes I need to just sit down and not have to worry about what he’s getting in to. This playpen has given me the peace of mind to do the things I need to do without worrying about him. Big bonus that it more appealing than those black, metal ones. He is able to move it around a little bit, but not a lot and cannot knock it down. I wish there was a door for humans to get through rather than just the dog door. This is flimsier than expected but it does hold my 5lb Morkie in. It doesn’t look bad either. My biggest issue with it is that there is no way for a human to go inside of it without dismantling one of the panels. It’s not really practical when you have to put food, water, clean it out etc. Would have made more sense to add a lock on top and make a whole panel as a human door. Huge issue. Yes, it is easy to assemble, but my puppy escapes without an problem. Somehow he gets a hold of the latch from the inside that locks, the playpen and turns it and gets out through a narrow opening. I bought a playpen from Amazon a few years ago and I thought this was the same kind. But this one is very flimsy and cheap. It is not a good item. I would not recommend it to anyone who is looking to keep their puppy safe. I would not buy it again. I wish I could return it but I purchased it in January and we rescued our puppy in February. Easy to assemble and ready to use. Our two yorkies have gotten use to napping in it and it’s a game changer for us since we don’t have to constantly wonder where they are and what they are chewing or peeing on. Lol. It’s a little flimsy since you can’t secure the bottom but it’s just heavy enough with six or 8 pieces to stay in place although the 10 lb dog can push it when he jumps. Like that it’s easy to clean and it looks nice. We haven’t used it yet outside but plan to in warm weather to keep our two guys from running off since our yard is unfenced and lots of large dogs around. ... show more
