Installation process was so easy. I will say you are not able to put the pen in a rectangle shape, the walls are extremely flimsy and just wobble when touched. We put it in a somewhat octagon shape and it was very sturdy. It is clean and aesthetically pleasing. Our dog loves it so much. The size was plenty big enough for a small dog and the door stays open on its own and closes with ease. Just received 1/25/25, so I will give it some time to see how it holds up then do an additional update!

This IRIS USA pet playpen is exactly what I needed for my small dog! It’s lightweight yet sturdy, making it easy to move around while still feeling secure. I love this playpen. It’s sturdy, and incredibly easy and quick to assemble—just snap the parts together. It’s spacious and adorable compared to the previous ones that I bought. I really like the white color and it made in the USA. I plan to use it as a playpen for my rabbits, knowing that it’s safe and rust resistance. It also has a gate allows them to come in and out easily. My only wish is that the playpen were a bit taller.

Whatever I say about the IRIS 24” Exercise playpen should really be viewed through the perspective of tempered expectations. You see, the IRIS 24” Exercise playpen is pretty large, but is very inexpensive. Since getting a reasonably priced, temporary pen for a new puppy was the primary goal, we are off to a good start. The pen consists of four injection molded panels that snap together at the hinge points. It's easy to assemble and disassemble, requiring no special strength or tools. The construction is such that panels from multiple pens could be used to create a larger contained area. Unlike some pens, the door lock status is easily visible and the lock engages and disengages positively. The main goal of this product is to define a space, an not to create a fortress. As such, the whole thing is very light... a dog can slide it around on a hard surface if you don't take some precautions (I used a couple freeweights). More substantial anti-skid material can (and should) be mounted to the bottom of the panels, if you plan on using this on wood or tile floors. You can get that stuff for a few bucks over at a hardware store. My other gripe is a little more involved. You see, the goal with a product at this price point is to meet a certain strength goal while using as little material as possible. Generally, that means that one of the panel faces will be flat, while the areas needing off-axis rigidity (ex. around the cutouts) will have material in the depth axis. While you can put this material across the entire panel, you really only NEED it around the voids - since material is money, you end up with a bunch of cavities in relief. At that point, you need to make a decision... which way does the flat side face? IRIS chose for the flat surface to face out, presumably for aesthetic reasons. The problem with this is that any messes that are made inside the pen can accumulate in dozens of little cavities. Eww. It's not a big deal, as you can take the panels outside and hose them out, but I really wish they had opted for the opposite approach... after all, if you're more than 24 inches tall, you can see the backs of the rest of the panels anyway, right? Gripes aside, this pen is exactly what I was looking for, and worked well. While it's no longer in use, it can be stored as a very compact package... you can just stack the panels and zip tie (4x) them together through the bars. Recommended.

Snaps together fast and easy… door is detachable. I also purchased a pad to go under which keeps it more stable and in place… I don’t know how it would do otherwise.
