iPower Grow Lights Adjustable Ratchet Hangers: This reflector suspension system enables you to raise and lower the light in one simple movement. With tension mechanism, the hood will stay in place once set at the desired height. Easily raise your lights when you are doing your routine work in the room, and just pull them down when you leave. It also perfectly meets the requirement of adjusting the hood to provide different light supply as plants grow. Features: Heavy duty locking mechanism 1/8" Nylon rope Two metal hoods One release clip to unlock the rope To provide reliable support & befitting distance from plants with tension mechanism Up to 150 lbs weight load capacity per pair Compatible with all parabolic and round reflectors, so long as hooks and eyebolts suit Length: 8 feet Attaching the Ratchet: There are two ways of installing the Light Hanger: with the mechanism attached to the ceiling. If you use the Light Hanger for luminaries in a grow tent we recommend that you install the Light Hanger with the free end carabiner to the ceiling frame and the mechanism to the luminary as illustrated. This way, you will not put any stress on your tent frame when hoisting and it enables easier adjustment. For filters, we recommend that you attach the free end with the carabiner around the filter to avoid rotation of the filter when hoisting. Support the filter when hoisting it to avoid stress on your grow tent frame. Height Adjustment: Adjust to the desired height by simply pulling the loose rope end. To release, hold the loose rope end and depress the lever recessed in the Light Hanger.

**Update** They pretended to reach out to make it right and never sent replacements. Works good when it's not rusted. After a year it is now unable to open the clasp because of the heavy build up of rust. I would suggest changing out all the clips to stainless steel.

    • manual release lever is at the top of pulley
Purchased to lift and lower lights for hydroponics on a bakers rack. The system works very well. Unfortunately, the only way to release the ratchet is to hold down the lever at the top of the mechanism with one hand and pull the light down with your other hand. I'm only 5ft so to reach the lever on the top shelf is a long reach. The other problem is that with the multiple parts (carabiner, pulley, carabiner, light) it takes up a lot of vertical space. I loose about 6" or more of height above my plants. I've been using paracord with Ellipse Style Cord Locks and may just stick with that. (One end of paracord tied to the top shelf and the other tied to the light with a loop of slack pulled thru the cord lock) ... show more

After fussing with chains and S-hooks for my plant lights for years, I finally upgraded several things about my seed starting set up and these were part of that. Holy cow, I wish I had done this years ago!! I love these things. They are coping easily with one fairly heavy light fixture I have (a 4-bulb LED in solid metal housing) and of course they are overkill for more lightweight lights, but that’s okay. The ropes are super long so you can set these up however you need to and either knot the excess or cut them if need be. These are nice and I expect them to work for many years to come. If you’re still using chains and s-hooks for plant lights, STOP what you’re doing and order these now. You’ll be so glad you did! ... show more

I use these to keep a tarp stretched over a metal frame "car port". The car port stays up all year long in new england. The metal components show a little rust but otherwise they function, after being rained and snowed on for years, like they did when they were new. I also use these as tie downs for my camping tents. When using these as tent tie downs, you need to be careful to not pull too hard as you can squash a dome tent that has collapsible rods with these. They hold up well to high winds. I have about 30 of these and not had a single ratchet has let go no matter how tight I pull them or how long they've been used. Excellent product. ... show more

These are quite handy little pulleys... The rope is fairly strong and their use is pretty straightforward. I use them in a few different places in my shop and I’m always trying to find more areas I can use them (since the package had 12 of them.) I purchased them to make a curtain that I can move up and down over my window since I can’t put up curtain rod holders on the wall. The only issue is the ratchet locks... I had to zip-tie the levers open so I could just use them as regular pulleys since as for this application, there is no way to use the ratcheting function (or at least I’m not sure how I can conveniently do that.) ... show more

They do what they are supposed to do. I have been using them as tie downs on my truck. They are showing some light rust after not much time outside but I don’t expect any different at this price point. They are definitely a faster alternative to ratchet straps but I have found that the larger version of this type of tie down is easier to work with. Make sure if you will be keeping them together that you have some kind of organization system or they all get tangled very easily. ... show more

Love these - use them with some of lights to keep my tropical plants safe over the winter (when they come inside). Lights are fairly light, so can't speak to how they hold up under heavier weights, but just purchased additional sets - love the price point as well compared to other products. I will say the metal feels a little cheap so I'd be hesitant to try under a 150lb load, but for something light, no problems recommending! ... show more
