The filter takes care of all smells and the fan is very quiet even on medium. It is heavy so I didn't hang it from the top poles but left it to sit on the floor of the tent.

I purchased this to keep my tent ventilated and to filter smell, which at this time I cannot give a review on. Price was great. The motor is a bit loud but not bad at all. Everything came as expected. The only thing I would say is there should be straps in the package along with the adjustable ropes or just straps. Easier to hang in a tent that way. Arrived new packed very well, carbon filter is heavy and nice, shows good budget quality. The fan is plastic. The fans motor is brushed, and is louder then I was hoping for. I see a product life span in the 1-2 year range.
