Easy assembly. Chose this bed over many other beds based on reviews about how well pieces fit together (many other beds had reviews of bad pilot holes). Everything fit together perfectly. Love that the slats don't slide. Very sturdy bed. Headboard isn't as slanted as I hoped, but hubby still prefers it over the 90 degree headboards. We placed plywood on the slats to ensure we didn't feel them through our approx 6" memory foam mattress :) I personally don't like that the lights plug into the top because I dislike seeing cords. . It would be better for them to have their own plug-in under the platform for a more seamless look. I just put a small decorative sign to his it. You can choose to not put them on, but hubby actually ended up liking the idea of lights, and our 5yo loves choosing his favorite color for his bedtime story routine. So still very worth it. we got this bedframe to replace an ancient 'racecar' bed, as our kid has mentally outgrown the bed of his childhood (he's 9 now, lol). It turns out to be a very sturdy frame, and assembly was very easy. we did chuckle about the 8 'stpe' assembly instructions, but otherwise the text and pictures were sufficient for the process. There is a lot of storage undeneath which his old bed did not have, and even his footlocker fits underneath it (the footlocker is actually an old telescope, but the case is 11x16x32, and it fit neatly under there). We have not decided if we are going to put the LED lights on it - that might be a 'later' task. as it is, it is great. ... show more

I bought this bed when it had 1 review. I was a little scared but that feeling disappeared after receiving the box. All parts were included, instructions included. Very easy to build and it only took around an hour or two. Im a big person and weigh a lot. This bed (especially being metal), holds up amazing. I can stand, jump, and even run around this bed with my overweight sibling, and it'll be fine. This is a 10/10 from me. No squeak, Very stable! ... show more
