These cars are fun until the battery charge runs out. The charger cords are small and so easy to lose. Then, the cords are so unusual, they can't be replaced. I've reached out to the seller in hopes I can find out how to buy replacements, either through their store or buying them on Amazon, but the type of cord is not listed in the details and the store is not responding. Sad that my grandboys can no longer play with them. For a few hours they were fun. Now, they're just sitting on a shelf until I give up recharging them and just throw them away. UPDATE: The store sent me a link to get more cords. They work great! Boys are back on the road and these cars are really fast and fun. Upgrading my review.

This Dino remote control car is really cool for kids, it provides lots of time for enjoyment and it is very entertaining for the kids. The best thing IMO is that I don't have to buy endless amounts of batteries, these are rechargeable! The kids love crashing these into other which adds another level of fun. These would make a great gift for all kids especially if they like Dinosaurs. They feel like they're made durable and will last a long time.

When I first saw these on Amazon, I was reminded of the old rock'em sock'em robots. Turns out these are at least a couple of generations ahead of that game. Truly, I bought this for my 5 year old, but I might be having more fun than he is. Okay, here's the skinny: Each controller takes two AA batteries. With a 3-year-old in the home, I'm grateful there is a screw protecting the batteries from curious hands (and mouths)! The batteries are rechargeable and a charging cable is provided. The two of us can play at one time but there's plenty of fun to be had during solo play. The light mode is a nice amenity (if toys have amenities - lol) for play at night or under a blacked out blanket fort. The cars go surprisingly fast on hardwood floors, slower on flat carpets, but not at all on shaggier carpets. They also do really well outside on the sidewalks. Our sidewalks around here have cracked and lifted in spots as the roots of nearby trees have damaged them but for the kids have had a blast launching them off these makeshift ramps. Despite landing on asphalt again and again after catching impressive air, these are made to take a beating - they are none the worse for wear. My 5-year-old is better with the controller than I am but I still think he's probably the right age to start with, although I think many adults will enjoy playing this with their kids more than most toys. It isn't appropriate for my 3-year-old though ymmv. I would order this again in a heartbeat.
