I'm very satisfied with this pencil for the iPad Pro and Air. This is a wireless charging version, which only works with the later models of iPad Pro and Air, which support wireless pencil charging. It sticks to the side of my iPad Pro, charges, and stays in place while carrying/charging. Visually, you cannot tell it apart from the Apple-branded pencil, although there are a few differences. The biggest difference is that this pencil does not support the pressure sensitivity feature of the Apple Pencil 2. I don't draw, so this doesn't matter to me, but to artists, it will be important. However, it does have the palm rejection feature, so you can rest your palm on the iPad surface as you draw or write, without you hand being mistaken for input. If you use the iPad's standard Battery widget, you can see the battery charge status of the pencil. The next difference is that you turn this pencil on by holding down on a button on top of the pencil. The pencil then turns off automatically after about two minutes. I think this is an improvement over Apple's pencil, because it keeps the battery from dying if you forget to put it back on the iPad. You can tap and double-tap on the button to activate shortcuts to hide the current app or to bring up the app browser. This is a little different from the Apple Pencil shortcuts, but still useful. Handwriting recognition with Scribble works fine, and it's great for manipulating sliders in Adobe Lightroom and similar apps, which is the main reason why I bought it. I'm definitely glad that I bought this instead of the Apple-branded pencil, and if you don't need the pressure sensitivity feature, I strongly recommend it. ... show more

The only complaint or better yet only negative I have is just the lack of a particular feature.. The double tap your finger on the side to switch certain functions, such as when you're drawing or writing using the pencil as a pen/pencil then double tapping to switch to eraser function is missing.. but you do gain a button that lights up and indicates the lvl of charge it has. One click of the button takes you to the home screen, two clicks pulls up the open apps page.. So you loose one function but you gain another... Admittedly the gained function is not as useful but still something gained... and 50% of something is better than 100% of nothing any day of the week... unless referring to problems, std's and household insects.. It charges magnetically. It writes and it erases.... of course it doesn't quite feel as well made as the Apple product but you're paying $100 -$120 less... So stop... just stop.. but the difference in quality feel is NOT as big a gap as you might think... Overall my 5 star rating is Well Deserved and I would not only recommend the purchase I would actively encourage it if your not able to spend the money to get the apple version.. you won't be disappointed ... show more
