    • Read this book if you want to invest with a minimal budget

This was a wonderful book! I purchased it because I was looking to expand my real estate portfolio. I only have one property and I knew that I wanted information on real estate investing that aligned with my goals. Well!!!! She hits the nail on the head. Full of valuable information and much of it is what I implemented when I turned my house into a rental. I like how she breaks down how to find properties step by step. I’ve used it to locate properties. I have not purchased my 2nd property yet but I am so confident and hearing from someone whose investing philosophy in real estate is attainable for my budget and my lifestyle makes me that much more excited. She is straight to the point, includes examples and really lays out an easy to follow system. Purchase this book. You can do it!! It’s a must read if your just thinking about the opportunity that could be available. ... show more

This book had a couple of nuggets and it's definitely not your average every day investing book. Its worth the free price if you have Kindle unlimited. However, it left a lot to be desired. There was no real substance to it and it felt a bit like a sales pitch for her mentoring program. I know I've been sold to enough in the real estate world and I don't want to be sold to more when I'm reading about new strategies. I also found her use of 35k houses... Well I'm just not sure I can find that in my neck of the woods and make any kind of money off it. She says to leverage zillow, and believe me, I know how to do that, but gives no indication on how to find those houses in a decent neighborhood besides saying to ignore school ratings. I gave it 4 stars because this book did have some fresh ideas that you don't hear about any day and so its worth a read... ... show more

    • The application of knowledge is POWER!

I have been interested in real estate for a while, and have researched it for 2 years. I am drawn to lower priced properties but platforms like BiggerPockets said that they are "pigs." I heard Ms. Phillips on a BiggerPockets podcast and was intrigued because she said that those are the exact types of properties that are extremely profitable. I bought her book and it has totally enlightened me. My analysis paralysis is gone, and I feel like this is doable. Her techniques, including one she calls CPR, are lifesaving. Some of this stuff may seem like common sense (even though we know common sense is not common LOL), but some of it is so brilliant that I am kind of in awe. I am happy to finally get started on this real estate adventure and I encourage you to do the same. These profit margins are (for lack of a better phrase)," off the chain. By following this proven blueprint, we can make sure that money is not a problem for us, or for our families and children. That's what I call legacy. Thank you Ms. Phillips. May God bless you to continue to be a blessing to the poor and downtrodden who know that there is something better out there for them. With the knowledge Ms. Phillips is giving and a little action, financial freedom and abundant life are available to the masses FOR JUST 99 CENTS!! Even at full price, this knowledge is a bargain.     • So Glad I Found You!

I was actually sitting in a 3-day real estate workshop of one of the guru's when I did a Google search and found Lisa Phillips on the list of successful black real estate investors! After the workshop I immediately start researching about Lisa and her strategy for acquiring real estate. One video and I was hooked! This book gives a great overview about the steps in the system she has developed to buy sub30-50K rental properties. I love her approach. Her strategy resonated with me and made me feel like this is something I can really do to build our portfolio while making a positive impact in working class communities that are often marginalized which is personally important to me as well as my hubby and sister who are also joining me on this REI journey! The book is practical and easy to read. Now that I'm finished I have signed up for her monthly mentoring to take it to the next level. I have a lot to learn and I am confident that working with Lisa will be a very good return on my investment! ... show more

Amazing book that is down to earth and shows you the basics. Lisa explains the process step by step and goes in to the details to make sure you understand. If you thought you could not get into investing in rental properties, this book gives you the confidence and information to get started. The book is very easy to read and will make you crave for more. I wish I had gotten this book when it first came out, I would be further ahead in my investing.
