  • I returned my Klipsch soundbar for this... and have zero regrets.
DISCLAIMER-I'm an A/V aficionado of over 25 years, and Klipsch has been my favorite brand by a wide margin for the past 15 years. I put a Fire TV and a Klipsch Cinema 400 soundbar in my office last week, and it was a quick-lived relationship. From me having to reset the TV, the soundbar, replace the HDMI and everything else to correct the soundbar not wanting to turn off... I was disappointed to say the least. And after 5 days of having no luck in troubleshooting, I had enough and returned it. A day later, the Amazon Fire TV Soundbar Plus arrived. I plugged it in and... that was it. I will say that while it should always be easier when you purchase items from the same company, it should always be this easy when you use a HDMI ARC port. Here's the big thing-the sound quality of the Fire TV Soundbar Plus was significantly better than Klipsch. The midrange feels full and not hollow, and the high end is crisp and make you feel like it could fill a room bigger than 12 X 14 without sounding like an alarm clock from the 80s that you turn the volume up past a certain point and all you get is garbled static and crackling. But the BASS? I knew Amazon's sound game was getting strong when I replaced my 7 year old Echo with a new one 8 months ago and heard a night and day difference in the bass, but I had no idea it was this next level. The bass is tight and CLEAR, and while it's not going to get anywhere near the 20 Hz threshold that separates the good from the great subs, the fact that it's handling everything I've thrown at it without sounding like it's about to distort says a lot about something the size of a miniature schnauzer. Klipsch has been my ride-or-die in the home theater and audio arena for 15 years, but if Amazon keeps going like they've shown me they can be with this Fire TV Soundbar Plus... well, just stay tuned! ... show more

  • A must if you have a fire tv!
I waited and waited for a version of the fire tv soundbar with Atmos and a subwoofer and imagine my surprise when it was released! Ordered it the day it went on sale and have it connected to my 50" fire tv Omni. A previous soundbar from an off brand called Ultimea had endless compatibility issues and it never worked right with the fire tv. This soundbar was effortless. Literally plug and play and it's good to go. Great sound and good bass without it being too overpowering. The only gripe is that's it's far larger than I expected so keep that in mind for your own space. A must buy if you have a fire tv! ... show more

  • Great audio for the price
Gets you into great audio without spending big money. The downward firing sub does a surprisingly remarkable job on the lows, the soundbar get those highs well enough too. If you have a Fire TV it's practically plug and play. Very impressed.

  • Not worth the risk
DOA - sub powered up but bar did not, worked through support doing basic swapping cords and outlets to no avail. Started return process based on customer support recommendation and had the worst return experience ever with Amazon. Got delivered to their receiving in a couple days and literally sat waiting for refund for weeks. Talked to customer service after a couple weeks and they said it would be in a few days and ended up taking another week plus. Not a cheap product to just sit for weeks adding up interest on the credit card waiting for the refund. Very disappointed and I wouldn't risk it knowing that they seemed really reluctant to refund the defective product. ... show more

  • Quality vs Competition? Not even close.
Installed this Amazon Fire TV Soundbar+ w/ Sub on 1 75" Fire TV & a Samsung soundbar w/ Sub (both Dolby Atmos) on another & the quality isn't even comparable. This is the device Amazon is marketing as their own best device to pair w/ their Fire TV? @ 60 (volume), the audio quality was not nearly as good as the Samsung config @ 25. Both audio settings = movie. Both playing similar action movie. Both close enough to hear one & the other by taking a few steps into an open space. Even w/o moving out of the room this device was in, the other could be heard over it. idk why this is rated as highly as it is. It's 100% better than the $50 options here, but $ for $, this isn't good quality audio when compared to competitors. I'm fortunate that I received the Samsung as a gift so I could perform a comparison in real time. don't believe the hype. The Samsungs are also plug & play; that should be a differentiator for you. This could be a 3... if the rating is based on 'is this better than using the TV speakers?' or if it's comparing this against the $50 options... but, as an independent rating, should this 'quality' merit a mid-range rating? Not in my opinion. If nothing else, as a Fire TV peripheral, it should be *amazing*... not meh... If you're going to spend $300, buy the Samsung instead; you'll be glad you did. search for Samsung soundbar with subwoofer + Atmos ... the 550 is decent; the 750 is bangin'. your cinematic experience will be much richer. Sadly, this is going back... ... show more

  • Decent sound, but over priced, compared to other systems
Overall good sounding , and easy to setup. Unfortunately it's not compatible with the Echo subwoofer or other Echo speakers.
