Over the past few years I have purchased a number of the normal FireTVs for some of our bedrooms and my older sons heading off to college. They have performed quite well, possibly amazing, for the price. In our living room we have an expensive large OLED that has truly been great but as noted was quite expensive. While I work from home, I work a lot, even on the weekends at times so I have been looking for something to put in my office. While as basic TV would have worked just fine I have gotten a little spoiled with the OLED. However I just didn't need to spend that kind of money for a secondary TV. As the office is also used to gaming on the weekends, I did want something with at least 120 Hrz refresh that would work with consoles. After doing some research I thought I had a decision back around Thanksgiving then I notice the new FireTV Omni Mini-LED. The list price was a little higher than I wanted but I couldn't find any reviews so I waited. However with looming price increases on the horizon decided to make a decision now. Even though the some of the review noted issues, it's known than more people leave reviews if they have issues than if they are happy, I decided to take a chance is get the Amazon Fire TV 55" Omni Mini-LED Series and I couldn't be happier. The menus, after the updates, is quite fast. The FireTV interface is very easy to use and has all the apps I need. While I haven't tested with a console yet, sports in 4K look amazing and you can definitely tell a difference between the 60Hrz and 120 Hrz, the sound is excellent and the picture is simply stunning! Is the sound as good an expensive sound bar or home theater system, no, but it's better than almost any TV I have heard in years. Is the picture as good as my OLED that cost 5x as much? No but it's pretty darn close. Connectivity to WiFi has been excellent and I'm running about 500 Mbps on a gig connection over an Eero Max 7 system. Those are both Amazon products so I expected them to work well together and they do. While most weekend nights it may just be streaming Twitch or watching sports during the day it's been nice to have the news on in the background this week and I've watched a couple of movies while working in the evenings. Overall, especially considering I got it on sale, I've very pleased with my purchase and price. Truly it is exactly what I was looking for in this case. While noted it may not be as great as the TV costing 5 times as much... considering the picture vs cost if this had been out a couple of years ago I would easily saved $1500 vs what I got our primary OLED for and purchased the larger version of this. To me there is a point of diminishing returns, I don't need perfection on color accuracy or black level, just close enough with the right features. Fantastic television, especially if you can pick it up with at least a little discount!

Rating: 4.5/5 I’ve had the Amazon Fire TV 65” Omni Mini-LED Series (2024) for a few days now, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best tech purchases I’ve made in years. Whether I’m gaming, watching movies, or just enjoying its smart features, this TV does not disappoint. Picture Quality: Absolutely Stunning The picture quality is where this TV shines the most. The Mini-LED with QLED technology makes everything look incredible—rich colors, deep blacks, and vivid highlights. Watching movies in Dolby Vision IQ feels like having a personal movie theater. It adjusts beautifully to the lighting in my room, which is great since I watch both during the day and at night. Gaming on this TV is next-level. The 144Hz refresh rate makes gameplay buttery smooth, and the low input lag keeps me competitive in fast-paced games. My PS5 looks absolutely gorgeous on it! Sound: Decent but Better with a Soundbar The built-in speakers are okay—clear enough for regular TV and casual watching—but I hooked it up to a Dolby Atmos soundbar, and the difference is huge. If you’re an audiophile or enjoy immersive sound, I’d definitely recommend pairing it with external speakers. I opted to wall-mount it, and it looks amazing. Cons No product is perfect, and while I love this TV, there are a couple of minor downsides: Audio: As mentioned, the built-in sound could be better. If you want a cinematic experience, invest in a soundbar. Price: It’s not cheap, but for what it offers—especially for gamers—it’s worth every penny. Absolutely beautiful picture! Have been a die hard Samsung fan since flat screens came to market. In fact out of all the tv’s I have/had this is my first non Samsung. It blows them all away. The picture is incredible and bright and the darks are very dark! If you’re in the fence, take a leap and try this one out. You will not be disappointed!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I really like this TV. I wanted a TV that had Alexa built in and was a mini led. This was the cheapest option. Things I love, The picture! Voice control! Things that are eh: the sound is really hokey, not a lot of volume control. The TV itself is very thick and heavy.

I had been looking for a quality Television for quite some time when I came upon this tv in a 85 inch version. I waited about 12 days to receive the television , after unboxing said television it won't get passed the update failed screen, after triple checking everything on my end I called customer support after being on phone with them for over an hour and a half and talking to multiples of people they decide the television is bad even though it was brand new. I get transferred to another person to arrange a replacement to only be told a replacement is not available and only a refund would be available, after getting off phone I go to website and low and behold this exact television is available but for over $400 more . How is it that the television is bought dont have a replacement but yet I can go buy the same exact television for over $400 more now. Thought I'd give Amazon's television a try but huge mistake Williston to name brand going forward
