Top Amazon Reviews

  • Loving it so far!
Size: 55-inch
Over the past few years I have purchased a number of the normal FireTVs for some of our bedrooms and my older sons heading off to college. They have performed quite well, possibly amazing, for the price. In our living room we have an expensive large OLED that has truly been great but as noted was quite expensive. While I work from home, I work a lot, even on the weekends at times so I have been looking for something to put in my office. While as basic TV would have worked just fine I have gotten a little spoiled with the OLED. However I just didn't need to spend that kind of money for a secondary TV. As the office is also used to gaming on the weekends, I did want something with at least 120 Hrz refresh that would work with consoles. After doing some research I thought I had a decision back around Thanksgiving then I notice the new FireTV Omni Mini-LED. The list price was a little higher than I wanted but I couldn't find any reviews so I waited. However with looming price increases on the horizon decided to make a decision now. Even though the some of the review noted issues, it's known than more people leave reviews if they have issues than if they are happy, I decided to take a chance is get the Amazon Fire TV 55" Omni Mini-LED Series and I couldn't be happier. The menus, after the updates, is quite fast. The FireTV interface is very easy to use and has all the apps I need. While I haven't tested with a console yet, sports in 4K look amazing and you can definitely tell a difference between the 60Hrz and 120 Hrz, the sound is excellent and the picture is simply stunning! Is the sound as good an expensive sound bar or home theater system, no, but it's better than almost any TV I have heard in years. Is the picture as good as my OLED that cost 5x as much? No but it's pretty darn close. Connectivity to WiFi has been excellent and I'm running about 500 Mbps on a gig connection over an Eero Max 7 system. Those are both Amazon products so I expected them to work well together and they do. While most weekend nights it may just be streaming Twitch or watching sports during the day it's been nice to have the news on in the background this week and I've watched a couple of movies while working in the evenings. Overall, especially considering I got it on sale, I've very pleased with my purchase and price. Truly it is exactly what I was looking for in this case. While noted it may not be as great as the TV costing 5 times as much... considering the picture vs cost if this had been out a couple of years ago I would easily saved $1500 vs what I got our primary OLED for and purchased the larger version of this. To me there is a point of diminishing returns, I don't need perfection on color accuracy or black level, just close enough with the right features. Fantastic television, especially if you can pick it up with at least a little discount! Edit Nov 2025 - Still love the TV, it's been great for sports and Amazon has updated the software as expected. However I need to note that with those updates it's gotten very slow in regards to menus and loading applications... very frustrated as the picture and sound are great. To fix the problem I picked up a FireStick 4K Max and it's quite a bit faster. I'm not sure why they wouldn't have included that processor and memory instead of whatever is inside the TV. ... show more

  • OMN 55inch Mini LED QLED Absolutley Great TV
Size: 55-inch
I am a very picky electronics buyer. I always research everything & have a strong, educated opinion on everything that is a "High End electronics purchase". Lets face it everything is so expensive these days & there is so much to choose from, it gets overwhelming at times with all the different options, sizes, types of screens, LCD, OLED, QLED, refresh rates 60hz, 120hz, 240hz, etc. But one thing is always the same with all of us, we want something with a great picture that will last & have no hassles, no problems, we simply want it to work & have a great picture & great sound. I'm a "TV Snob" meaning that I have never purchased a Flat Screen TV that wasn't made by the BIG 3 ( Samsung, LG, Panasonic, reason for this is because they not only manufacture but also assemble their TV's in house, most manufactures send out their TV's to be assembled by the cheapest place with the cheapest parts they can find which is a disservice to us, their customers. I currently own a 50inch Plasma by Panasonic, I also have 2 - 32inch LCD TV by LG & my cousin has a $3000 75inch by Samsung QLED TV so I've had a chance to compare TV's) until I saw this Fire TV by Omni for Amazon. I looked at the specs very carefully & they are the same specs a lot of other brands have, but they are not Amazon. The Amazon branded items are all quality items at a discount price that are designed to last the customers because lets face it, without us, the customer, Amazon is nothing & if they sell stuff that isn't good quality, they wouldn't last very long & Amazon is here to stay whether you like em or not. This TV checks all the right boxes with all of the components & Amazon Fire TV, Fire Stick & Fire Box software works great without that many hiccups its a pretty solid, dependable software. I looked at prices for the BIG 3 manufacturers of TV's & this price for the 55inch Omni Mini-LED QLED TV was significantly lower priced & the reviews were & are & remain very positive and I know why after buying & watching this TV for a few months now, it's an absolutely great TV with an excellent picture & the sound is incredible! If you're looking for a new TV I recommend this TV, the OMNI QLED Mini LED 55 inch TV, you'll love it. The picture quality is amazing & the sound is excellent ( they put a subwoofer in the TV with the speakers & its by far the best sound I've ever heard coming out of a flat screen TV Ive been watching mine since November of 2025 & its now June of 2026 ( I didn't want to write a review until I had a chance to use it for a while) & I can say you will be happy. Great price & delivered fast & on time. Thank you ... show more

  • Warranty expired recently so no relief.
Size: 75-inch
I hate to do this but I feel it is my duty. I liked this TV a lot when I first got it. Picture was great. The sound was great with no problems. As time went on about 6 months after the purchase the problems started. The TV would become non responsive and would move at a snails pace when loading apps. After troubleshooting a factory reset seemed to work. Great or so I thought. The problem would come back a few times and just never was fixed. Then after one of a few factory resets I could not get some of my apps to load. finally got that fixed and now my tv only works when it is directly connected to my router. After talking to customer service their solution was to offer me on a discount on the next Amazon item I buy. No thanks! At this point I have a half working TV that is out of warranty as of a few months ago and out of a bunch of money with a few payments still left. Very dissapointed! ... show more

  • Perfect upgrade
Size: 55-inch
Nice beautiful TV and picture. Works great with the Switch 2, PS5 and Xbox series X. Works great with the Apple 4k TV and the reason why I went with the Apple 4k TV was because I already had it and would have went with the default fire so if I didn't have the 4k TV. I absolutely love the sound and coming from the v505-j09 VIZIO that was having HDMI port issues and screen halo problems this TV is a wonderful stepup. The ease of use is great and I love the remote. Screen durability is fantastic. I love the fact it's connected to the internet with WiFi 6E and the power cord is not attached to the TV. This device has 8gb of storage if you chose to go with it. Overall again I highly recommend this TV. ... show more

  • My Review of the Amazon Fire TV 65” Omni Mini-LED Series (2024 Release)
Size: 65-inch
Rating: 4.5/5 I’ve had the Amazon Fire TV 65” Omni Mini-LED Series (2024) for a few days now, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best tech purchases I’ve made in years. Whether I’m gaming, watching movies, or just enjoying its smart features, this TV does not disappoint. Picture Quality: Absolutely Stunning The picture quality is where this TV shines the most. The Mini-LED with QLED technology makes everything look incredible—rich colors, deep blacks, and vivid highlights. Watching movies in Dolby Vision IQ feels like having a personal movie theater. It adjusts beautifully to the lighting in my room, which is great since I watch both during the day and at night. Gaming on this TV is next-level. The 144Hz refresh rate makes gameplay buttery smooth, and the low input lag keeps me competitive in fast-paced games. My PS5 looks absolutely gorgeous on it! Sound: Decent but Better with a Soundbar The built-in speakers are okay—clear enough for regular TV and casual watching—but I hooked it up to a Dolby Atmos soundbar, and the difference is huge. If you’re an audiophile or enjoy immersive sound, I’d definitely recommend pairing it with external speakers. Smart Features: Alexa Makes Life Easier I didn’t realize how much I’d love having hands-free Alexa built into the TV until now. Whether it’s turning the TV on, adjusting the volume, or even controlling my smart lights while watching a movie, it’s so convenient not having to hunt for the remote. The Fire TV OS is super intuitive and has all the apps I need. Navigating through menus is fast and responsive, and I appreciate how seamlessly it connects with my Amazon account for Prime Video and my smart home devices. The Ambient Experience feature is a fun touch too. When the TV’s off, it displays weather updates, beautiful art, or even my family photos. It feels more like a functional piece of my living room rather than just a blank screen. Design: Sleek and Modern The design fits perfectly in my living room. The bezels are incredibly thin, making the screen feel larger and more immersive. It’s a bit heavy, but that’s expected for a TV of this size and build quality. I opted to wall-mount it, and it looks amazing. Cons No product is perfect, and while I love this TV, there are a couple of minor downsides: Audio: As mentioned, the built-in sound could be better. If you want a cinematic experience, invest in a soundbar. Price: It’s not cheap, but for what it offers—especially for gamers—it’s worth every penny. Owning the Amazon Fire TV 65” Omni Mini-LED Series has been an absolute joy. It checks all the boxes for me: stunning visuals, amazing gaming performance, seamless smart features, and a sleek design. Whether I’m binging my favorite shows, playing games, or showing off the Ambient Experience to guests, this TV delivers. Would I Recommend It? Absolutely! If you’re looking for a premium TV that balances performance, features, and smart functionality, this is the one. Just pair it with a good sound system, and you’re set. Overall Rating: 4.5/5 – Thrilled with my purchase! ... show more

  • Great Picture - Sound OK But Optical Not Right and Bluetooth Noisy
Size: 65-inch
We had already returned on TV to Amazon so I was reluctant to return this one. Like the previous Hisense 8U, the optical on this Fire TV didn't work as expected. I did find some "work arounds” that helped the problem. The real issue is that there is an intermittent high-pitch whine associated with bluetooth. I can’t hear it but my wife can and especially the dog. It drives the dog nuts - barking, whining hiding under the coffee table. It isn’t there all the time and it can be remedied by tapping the unit in the upper right side, about 6” down. At first, I thought that had fixed it for good - it didn’t reoccur until about a week later. Now it happens fairly regularly and getting up to tap the TV (for something that I can’t even hear) is a problem for me. Anyway, that combined with the optical issue forced us to return what otherwise is a fairly good unit. I should add that I have done further research on optical connections (I thought that just having the optical connector would be enough). Not so. The only TVs that have the feature that I’m looking for are Samsung models and even on those you have to step deeply into the on-screen menus. I thought that getting the unit from Best Buy (Where the salesguy showed me what was happening with the optical) would be unfair to Amazon so I ordered a Samsung S90D - more expensive since I missed the sale price by one day but it should finally work for us. ... show more

  • Decent TV. APPLE TV 4K OWNERS BEWARE!
Size: 65-inch
The picture quality is superb. It is light at 47lbs. The screen durability seems to be good. There is noticeable, and sometimes obnoxious, lag with the Fire TV OS. The remote control is light, which could be a good thing, but it could also indicate 'cheapness' in design. Time will tell. The TV is easy to use, with settings being especially clear and extensive. The main screen is greatly cluttered with ads, though, which is only remedied by turning off Wi-Fi on the TV. Impractical to say the least. Blu rays in Dolby Vision at 4K UHD are jaw-dropping, in my view. Now, for my main gripe: Connectivity is a problem with the Apple TV 4K (2nd generation). What I mean is that whenever the Apple TV switches to Dolby Vision (or HDR 10), the screen flickers on and off. Ultimately, I was only able to solve it by switching it down to 4K SDR (without range or frame-rate matching), so what's the point of having a Dolby Vision TV if you can't watch your Apple TV Dolby Vision content in Dolby Vision? Watching them from the Apple TV app for Fire TV outputs noticeably lower quality of picture. Basically, this rendered my Apple TV 4K inoperable with this TV, which is the reason for taking 2 stars. NOTE: I see that other reviewers have expressed skepticism at this. It has to do with the technical differences between Apple TV Dolby Vision output and 'handshaking' vs. a blu ray player, for example. So, it is indeed a real issue. All in all, this is a fine TV for the price with extensive features, but don't expect to get top-notch quality. You're getting a budget TV, even for its class. The Apple TV 4K Dolby Vision compatibility issues are huge for me, so buyer beware. Edit: I decided that the incompatibility issue with the Apple TV 4K is not a minor issue to me. I would remove an additional half star, but not a whole one. So, my rating remains the same. Although Amazon did reach out to me about my review, they could not tell me whether the problem would be fixed. Moreover, a member of their technical support did not reach out, as promised. ... show more

  • Better than expected
Size: 55-inch
The Amazon Ember 55" Mini-LED Series completely blew me away. The picture quality is absolutely stunning — the Mini-LED panel delivers incredibly deep blacks, bright highlights, and vibrant colors that make movies, gaming, and streaming look phenomenal. Everything feels sharp, rich, and immersive right out of the box. What impressed me most is the brightness and contrast. HDR content looks incredible, and the local dimming makes dark scenes look clean and detailed instead of washed out. Whether watching movies at night or using it in a bright room during the day, the picture stays crystal clear and vivid. Gaming on this TV is also fantastic. The high refresh rate and smooth motion handling make fast-paced games feel incredibly responsive and fluid. Combined with the low input lag, it honestly feels like a premium gaming display disguised as a living room TV. The Fire TV interface is fast and easy to use, and having Alexa built in makes everything even more convenient. Streaming apps load quickly, navigation is simple, and voice control works surprisingly well. Build quality and overall design are excellent too. The TV looks sleek, modern, and much more premium than I expected for the price. Amazon really packed high-end features into this model without the massive premium price tag. If you want a TV with gorgeous picture quality, impressive brightness, smooth gaming performance, and excellent smart features, the Amazon Ember 55" Mini-LED Series is an easy recommendation. This TV feels like a serious flagship-level experience. ... show more
