I started making little hand wood carvings and wanted something to seal the wood so they had nice finishes. The finish isnโ€™t super shiny, or I havenโ€™t figured out how to make it shiny, but it allows for the grain to show more. I used it for a book page flattener, so you put your thumb in it and it helps flattens a stiff book when reading. I didnโ€™t want it to be greasy or to leave stuff on the pages and it seems to not be doing that. I did gift the item so I donโ€™t know how itโ€™s holding up to the transfer test. Light, cocoa buttery, lip balm smell. This small tub should last me years for small pieces, so I think itโ€™s worth the price. ... show more

Just a heads up for anyone reading these reviews looking for a Warwick wax replacement... Yes this is a nice wax for your bass, yes it is a good price, but no it is not the exact same stuff Warwick sells. The hardness, color and the smell are all different.

I built these toy wood cars for my sonโ€™s first birthday and used this beeswax paste on it! It worked great and not only did it look good but it honestly smelled really nice too. Easy to apply and now I donโ€™t have to be worried if my son sticks it in his mouth.

This product is exactly what I was looking for to use on small handcrafted wood items. The wax paste has just two ingredients: beeswax and mineral oil. No chemical additives, scented oils, etc. It goes on easily, and gives a beautiful soft sheen to the natural wood items it's applied to. I am very sensitive to scents. This product has a very light natural beeswax scent that reminds me a little of cocoa butter. It's very pleasant. I especially love that this product is made in the USA. It comes in an easy-to-use sturdy tin, and the quality is excellent. If you will be waxing large wood items frequently, it might be more economical to make your own beeswax and mineral oil wood paste (aka "wood butter") using one of the DIY recipes available online.
