Issue with bike giving a “VINERR” on odometer. Battery voltage was good. My cranking amps I noticed hitting around 8. After reading, problem is battery CCA are too low and needed a new battery even though battery showing 12.8 without a load. Ordered this one cause Interstate are just amazing. Came in a few days. Faster than it had said. Unboxed. Added fluid to battery and waited about 12 hours. Recommend an hour so fluid absorbs in plates. After that, I put on a trickle charger for about a day. Overkill for sure, but it has held up great. Dropped right in. No adjustment needed. I am rough on batteries as my commute is only 2.5 miles to work. Not enough time to charge well every day. Highly recommend this battery. ... show more

  • When the local Interstate does'nt have it
Style: YTX20HL-BS
I know the Interstate brand that's why I buy it. I needed a battery for my motorcycle, so I dropped in at the local Interstate distributor thinking I would buy one and take it home. No, they didn't have it and were not sure when they would be receiving a shipment. The person helping me said, go on Amazon they will have it. Sure enough, they had it, great price and I had it within a couple of days. And it is still warranted by the local Interstate distributor. 5 stars for the battery and 5 stars for the seller. ... show more

  • Dead 3 weeks after warranty expired.
Interstate is supposed to make good batteries... so did they just slap their name on this or what? The good thing is that this battery comes with the acid separate. This is useful because ATV batteries have a tendency to sit on store shelves for a while, aging, before they are sold. Batteries with the acid separate have an essentially indefinite shelf life. Filling the battery with the acid is straightforward and typical. Peel the protective seal off the battery, remove the cap strip from the acid (but NOT the foil seals on the acid). Flip and shove it down until the acid package "mates" to the battery and wait for it all to flow. Then charge the battery and install it. Simple. But the battery going completely dead 3 weeks after the warranty expired is disappointing to say the least. No, my ATV was not left on, and No, it does not have any vampire drain, I checked. Update January 2023: Here we are, about 9 months after purchase. The battery will not hold a charge for more than a day at this point. If I pull it out of the ATV, put it on a workbench, and charge fully, the battery will read 12.7-ish volts as soon as I remove the charger. Coming back 24 hours later, it reads less than 10 volts and putting a load tester on the battery reads dead flat. I have tried charging with modern and older chargers, all with the same outcome. A total waste of money. ... show more

  • Popular me brand
I guess it's a good battery. I never got to use it. I thought it was compatible with my part number but the dimensions are different. Be sure it will fit your battery box before ordering because you cannot return it. I can't figure out how to get a refund or replacement so I'm stuck with a battery I can't use. ... show more

  • Perfect fit 2019 BMW 1250GSA
same exact measurements with universal battery cable mounts. There are many posts bashing lead batteries. If I’m not riding every day, this battery MUST be connected to a battery tender. I use an Optimate. If a lead acid drops below 12.1 volts (50% discharge) the life will be reduced. Drop it more than that and it will be be destroyed or barely usable. An Optimate can bring it back to life by going into battery save mode. However, not a good practice to let the battery die. It reduces it’s life even if it can be saved. My BMW does not drain the battery as it sits very much. But cold weather and time will drop that voltage. Riding the bike around places a charge on the battery but it is not acting like a battery charger would act. So either ride every day or get a tender. If the battery dies, it dropped below 50% and is rarely the battery’s fault. ... show more
