  • works great in my 2001 Honda Goldwing with two of the 15mm spacers
Had to grind a couple nubs off the battery connectors on the bike side though, but trivial stuff for anyone handy. Even though it was half charged (all lithium batteries are supposed to be shipped that way), it started my 1800cc motor 6-8 times right off the bat, with no charging inbetween. Since it has a much smaller Ah rating than a standard battery, you should NOT be leaving it sitting for much time with the lights on but not running, as it will drain much quicker. But for starting, it does the trick, and very light. Can't speak to longevity though yet. ... show more

  • Best lower cost lithium I've tried
I have a 1993 Harley Davidson FLHTC. I've replaced the motor with a 113cu high compression engine. I added electric compression releases, but the motor still turns really slow with the AGM battery. The problem is that the battery compartment only allows 3.5" for battery depth. That max's the CCAs to 350. I bought an EarthX battery, and it was amazing. It was also 800$. It quit after a year. EarthX honored the warranty and sent me a new one. That one lasted about 8 months, but I found that a mouse had chewed my ignition wires and it send a dead short to the battery. That certainly is not covered under a warranty. Not having 800$ to shell out again, I bought a Wicked Start AGM. It's supposed to be 500CCA. It certainly didn't spin the motor like 500cca, but it started the bike. Just went to ride this weekend, and it was cold. Battery was fully charged, but it cranked very slow, then died. I jumped it with a jump pack and it worked all day. Tried to start it that night, after the temp dropped, and it died again. Battery tests good, it just can't crank my motor when the oil and the air is cold. Back to lithium. Did a lot of shopping and found this Noco. I like their chargers, so with the reviews, specs and price, I ordered the NLP20. Installed with no problem. It has really nice cable mounting options! It's light and has everything you need to make it taller of shorter with the accessories they give you. Anyway...the motor spins just as amazingly as it did with the EarthX. Starts in cold (it was 48 when I started it again this morning) just as vigorously as when it's warm (it was 80 in Daytona for Biketoberfest last week). I can't speak for longevity, but I'm hopeful. There are good and bad reviews for almost everything. For the price difference between EarthX (or even Anti_Grav) and this NoCo, it seems well worth it for me. Update 2-19-2024: Went out to the garage yesterday and started the bike for the first time since early November. It was 40 degrees, and the bike cranked super-fast, with no issues. ... show more

  • Lasted 11 month, not recommended due to HORRIBLE warranty
Be aware, lithium Phosphate batteries are a great addition to the motorcycle technology world, they really are. But be also aware the engineering behind this product is inferior and heavily under tested. The installation experience on a 2018-2023 Honda Gold Wing is about an hour, and it requires some patience due to cable length, but it fits. I have a '21 and installed in March of '22. I kept this battery on the recommended charger, a NOCO GENIUS2, 2A Smart Car Battery Charger/tender that comes with the Lithium charging option and enabled it from day 1. The Genius2 failed within a month, Amazon replaced with a new one. I kept the battery with this tender on the times I was nos using the bike, and it showed normal charging. 2 weeks ago, after a cold front, I pulled the bike, took a 50 miles ride, no issues, left it unplug for less than 24 hours, next day it was completely out. Multimeter showed 0.22Vdc. The tender could not charge it normally. I used the forced mode on the tender by pressing the 'Mode' button for about 7 seconds, it charged the battery enough to be able to start the Gold Wing. The joy lasted for another day, it died again at the Honda scheduled service center I had to take the Goldwing for regular maintenance. Long story short, charged again and died again. We tested for parasitic consumption and was less than 0.1 Amp and hour, well within the design. Contacted customer support via chat to place a claim on the 5 years warranty. Red flag #1 - NOCO will not send you return instructions until you close the chat session, why the fear of customer's reaction? #2 - From Customer Support: "If your NOCO product is not functioning within its original design specifications, and has not been altered or modified, please email me an image and detailed description of the issue, a copy of the proof of purchase, an image of the serial number on the product itself (not the box), your return shipping address, and a good contact telephone number, and I will provide you with an RMA and instructions for warranty services. Please note that we are not able to ship products to PO boxes. We apologize for any inconvenience..." This is almost comically designed to keep people from requesting a claim efficiently. All while you have your motorcycle/machine immobilized. God forbid that you use your motorcycle to go to work or any other high priority situation. In conclusion, I love the way the market is moving, but NOCO have ways to go on the NLP lithium battery designs and after sales experience. I love other NOCO products but for now, I'm keeping on the AGM/gel battery market while other options shows, if they have time, since electric bikes with long range options are right on the corner. ... show more

  • Great for '06 Goldwing
Just bought an '06 Goldwing and installed the NLP20. It Works perfectly. Installed with no issues. Bike turns over much faster than the AGM that was only a couple of months old per the last owner.

  • A 5-star battery with a 1-star experience
First of all, this is a very nice-looking battery. And so lightweight! I do love that about lithium batteries. Unfortunately, the fun kinda ended there for me. The marketing material for these batteries clearly state "...comes fully charged and ready to install." So when I connected mine and couldn't even get the faintest flicker of power, I assumed that I had a defective battery. I like to research before giving up, though, and someone else had mentioned a similar situation, so I decided to "jump" the battery with my battery booster pack. What do you know?! All of a sudden it was at least being seen by the (lithium) trickle charger now, so I decided to leave it overnight... and that did the trick. No, it wasn't a ridiculous amount of effort on my part to get it going, but I can guarantee you that 95% of consumers (maybe more?) would probably just return it as defective. Lastly, I was replacing a Yuasa battery with this. The fit (with two spacer blocks) is fine, but the terminals were reversed from my previous battery. Not a deal breaker, but a bit annoying. Not everyone will have terminal leads that can swap sides. ... show more

  • Powerful but light weight battery
For the last two years I had a constant problem with the AGM battery in my Harley-Davidson Fatboy. It would go dead and when I took it into the battery shop multiple times they would test it and say it was perfectly fine. Finally this year I was fed up. The AGM battery showed full charge and could not even turn over the motor. I have several NOCO battery chargers that are great, so when I I saw that they had made a Lithium motorcycle battery I decided to replace my junk AGM battery. The AGM battery was a 350 Ah battery and the NOCO Lithium battery is 600Ah. The second I hooked up the NOCO battery my motorcycle started immediately. It was also very noticeable how much more powerful the NOCO battery is. The battery also comes with a 5 year factory warranty. I highly recommend this battery. ... show more

  • Fits 2020 Softail Slim
Confirming this DOES work with a Harley-Davidson 2020 Softail Slim, despite what the Amazon fitment tool says. I used two of the included height adjustment plates to match the OEM battery height. The plates actually make the install easier. On this bike, you normally have to remove the oil dipstick to get the battery in or out. Because this NOCO is smaller and lighter, I was able to place the spacer plates in the tray first; there was no need to remove the dipstick for reinstallation. I still installed the NOCO GBC007 I had on the old AGM battery as I have read mixed reviews on batteries not holding their charge. I am also keeping it on a trickle charger, but not as frequently as I did with the AGM. Starts right away. ... show more
