Intergreat 10-12 safe. For the price i believe this to be a good choice. Regardless of the small issues i came across i still give it 5 stars (Price). Shipping box claims the item to be about 84 pounds. One of the bolts and threaded sleeves were misaligned, required some manipulation (Use a dremill).     • It’s not a safe. It’s a metal cabinet with a lock

Like most people stated, this is NOT a safe. It’s a metal cabinet with a lock. The whole enclosure is a thin sheet of metal. The top and bottom panels just snap in so anyone with a flat head screw driver can basically snap the top open. This should not be your first/only line of security. This should be behind a few layers of security (inside a locked closet that is in a locked room). Installation: it was straight forward. It did come with decent instructions and pictures. Some holes were a bit off and did not line up enough for the screws to fit in. The cabinet does have to be mounted to the wall or floor. The door is the heaviest part and does pull the whole thing forward when it’s open. Figment: it will store around 7-8 rifles cleanly lined up. You can probably fit a couple more if you just stuff them all together. ... show more

Assembly of this item is incredibly difficult/ impossible due to the thin, flimsy metal being bent during shipping and the fact that none of the hole were drilled properly during manufacturing. My particular item arrived with improperly drilled holes and the front of the door had scratches on it. There was also some white mess on the mesh on the inside of the door that wont come off. The door is incredibly heavy compared to the rest of the thin sheet metal of the body of the safe which causes it to tilt when the door is open which is incredibly annoying and dangerous. This cabinet is very insecure and is more of a cabinet than a gun safe. I would not see myself ever paying more than $100 for this product Do Not Buy this product!!!! ... show more

    • More of a cabnet than a safe
It has a thick door but the sides are thin . The holes don't line up and the directions are so so . It didn't come with a light 😕 . And a little top heavy . The bottom just clicks in and there are a few retailers that hold it in but no screws. So if you're looking for a cabnet it's good but if you're looking for a safe look elsewhere. ... show more

Easy to assemble. As described. I had a bit of trouble putting the new digital password in, but we got it figured out. Plus it has keys if you dont want to mess w/the combination. I havent even attempted the finger print portion. Its good to keep things away from kids & in a safe place.

The only good thing I can say is it has a semi decent space. Other than that I would Not recommend it. It was not easy to put together because of several parts dented out of shape or bent in the wrong direction, and the directions were not helpful in the slightest. Nothing was labeled. I have parts that are not screwed together because holes don't match up, and it is door heavy causing the safe to lean forward terribly and in an unsafe way. Don't waste your money on this disappointment of a safe. I was excited to get it, but greatly disappointed. I will be looking at returning this, if possible. ... show more

I bought this primarily because my kids are getting old enough to have friends over when I'm not home. I wasn't expecting a gun "safe", I was expecting a gun locker. As far as gun lockers go, this is by far one of the nicest ones I've used or seen. The locking mechanism is sturdy and the the hinges are not exposed on the outside of the locker like with some other models. It was a bit tricky to put together as the directions are just pictures, but I did manage. Took around 45min. I used amazon points to purchase this item, so it was definitely worth the price I paid. Would recommend for folks who want a decent gun locker, just so long as they aren't expecting a gun safe. ... show more
