Let’s start with the quality: the plush fabric feels soft and squishy but so sturdy. It’s not the cheap kind that sheds fur if you tug it, and the stitches are nice and neat. My dog loves chewing on toys, and he’s been playing with this for almost two weeks now—no pilling, no fraying. The durability’s seriously on point. Using it is totally hassle-free, too. It was already charged right out of the box—I just pressed the little button on the side, and it started moving. It has two modes: slow mode makes the octopus wiggle gently, like it’s crawling slowly. Fast mode? It wiggles and scurries around, and the speed’s perfect—my dog can keep up but still has to work a little. When he first saw it, he circled it three times, sniffed it, then backed up right away. He stared at it all cautious, even hid under the couch to spy on it for a bit. That little look was so funny and cute, I couldn’t stop laughing. Now they’re total best buds! Every morning, as soon as I turn the toy on, he runs over with his little bed in his mouth and plops down next to it, waiting for it to move. Quick tips for all you fellow pet parents: First, the toy makes a tiny motor hum when it moves. It’s not loud, but if your dog’s super skittish or scared of small noises, give him a few days to get used to it. Second, always keep an eye on him while he plays. Mine tried to bite off one of the octopus’s tentacles once—I stopped him just in time. The toy has a motor inside, so you gotta make sure he doesn’t swallow any small parts. Oh, and the plush cover zips off! If it gets dirty, just throw it in warm water, wash it, and once it’s dry, it looks good as new. Super easy to clean. Our Lab absolutely loves it. She throws it all over the house. It’s so fun to watch her play with it. It’s by far her favorite toy right now. It’s easy to charge and came with charging cable. It has a button to turn off and on and a couple different speeds. My parents got her a different one for Christmas and since she loved it so much we decided to get her another one. It’s pretty durable too. She normally rips through toys pretty quickly and both of the ones she has are still in good shape. No rips or tears. She hasn’t tried just chewing on it like she does her squeaky toys. She just throws it all around the house and chases it.

I bought a different smart toy for "aggressive chewers" and my Boston was able to tear it apart on the first day. The velcro on the octopus is so strong that my dog has not been able to break into the mechanics inside. Super durable! The battery lasts a good amount of time and charging is easy. The noise of the inner machine is not annoying at all. My destruction prone Boston LOVES this toy and for the first time in 3 yrs I found something he likes as much as food!

Thought my dog would enjoy this, he's a 200lb English mastiff that thoroughly enjoys terrorizing his toys, but he was absolutely terrified of this toy. It doesn't bounce so much as it just vibrates/shakes on the floor and he was not about it at all. I gave it away as a gift for a dog that can handle the "scary shaking" better than mine lol It is a good toy though! Easy enough to get into with Velcro but that also means if your dog is a destroyer it will be super easy for them to pull apart the Velcro and get into. It's also much smaller than advertised but that's kind of what we all deal with when shopping for toys !

Our dogs love this toy! We have a large breed and a medium breed and they love to play tug with the octopus. They shred stuffed toys but this has held up to the most intense games of tug. If something happens to this one it will for sure be replaced with another!

Great product. My dog plays with is constantly. I love that it can be recharged easily and there is no need for replacing batteries. Highly recommend! The only downfall is when my dog wants to play with it at night and wakes me up. LOL

My dog absolutely love this, but the octopus cloth fell apart within the first day. He doesn’t usually play rough with his toys, but he was able to shred this octopus fabric very easily. He was very passionate in his playfulness and he’s a big dog, but he was able to put massive holes in the fabric within the first hour of play. The Ball still works, however so hopefully we can find another toy to stick it in.
