  • Great spec'd entry gaming laptop
Capacity: 32GB RAM | 2TB SSD Style: Intel Arc A550M Graphics
This is a great laptop. It has great specs for the cost, I have the 32GB RAM | 2TB SSD model. It's pretty lightweight but powerful enough to run a lot of games (even if some sites say you can't run it, normally that's because they're set to only list specific GPU/CPU) I have been using and testing the device since I received it a few days ago; I read all the reviews of people saying that it overheats, so I was running some tests on it. I played Palworld for over an hour, at EPIC settings and it stayed around 65-67℃ (which is within the typical range) according to sites like System Requirements Lab and PCGameBench, this computer doesn't meet the minimum or recommended specs for Palworld, but I can run it just fine on this computer. During normal tasks, the laptop sits around 33-43℃ depending on what I'm running. In summation, it doesn't run hot, just make sure you give the computer adequate ventilation. Also, if you want to use the Intel Iris Xe Graphics instead of the Intel ARC A550M for power conservation, what you want to do is go to Settings > System > Display > Graphics then add the apps you want in the list, select the app you want to control, click options then select the Intel Iris Xe which will be listed as a power saving option. Note: The same task can be achieved to add the program for High performance if you want to make sure that the application is using the Intel ARC A550M I have also tested out the Thunderbolt port since I read some reviews that said it didn't work. If you're connecting a docking station to it, you will need to make sure the docking station has enough power to supply a charge to the computer or use the laptop's provided power cord in addition to powering the docking station. I have tested it with an HP docking station and a Dell docking station, which works just fine. For the Dell docking station, I had 3 external monitors connected and it was able to use all of them. Overall, this is a great PC, it's fast and can play the games I want and I'm glad I purchased it. ... show more

  • Sleak and unassuming, brandless from the outside, easy to access basic components.
Capacity: 32GB RAM | 1TB SSD Style: Intel Arc A550M Graphics
Great and sleek laptop without all the logo(brand, graphics card, cpu chip, etc) blocking the look of the laptop. It's thin enough and looks assuming enough to not register as if it was a gaming laptop. Getting inside the laptop isn't painstakingly hard like a lot of other laptop these days. RAM can be changed and increased to 64 GB, an extra slot for another M.2 to add more space. Other components like the network card can be changed too with some know-how. Many other brands would just stick all of their laptop pieces on the other side, making it very hard for people to access and change or make it seemingly impossible to access altogether. One note of change that would really help with the laptop would be to allow for bios configurations to disable the ARC GPU in favor of using only the integrated-GPU in the chip and to fully disable to the ARC 550M. Or allow some configuration on the ARC Control to disable it or re-enable it. When the integrated-GPU is used (I believed it is the Iris XE) the power draw for the laptop is a whole lot less compared to when the ARC 550m is active? The webcam isn't something particularly special since it is at 720P, but it isn't anything horrible. Good enough for Zoom Meetings or any other type of video software to use. Same with the microphone and audio. The 550m is good enough for most games, as for more graphically intense games or the latest games that one wants for high or ultra high settings, that is a different matter. BIOS and Drivers update are easy to find and is recommended to do once receiving the laptop. While it is sleek, it is prone to fingerprint marks. ... show more

  • Gets VERY hot very fast
Capacity: 32GB RAM | 1TB SSD Style: Intel Arc A550M Graphics
My son turned his computer on and started using it. Wishing 10 minutes of gameplay the keyboard is so hot it’s untouchable. Something is either wrong with our specific laptop or the fans are not good enough for gameplay. Trying to reach someone for assistance and so far seller says to talk to Amazon and Amazon says talk to seller. Frustrated. ... show more

  • Great performance, nearly useless thunderbolt port
Capacity: 32GB RAM | 1TB SSD Style: Intel Arc A550M Graphics
To start with the likes...I am using this machine primarily for software development. I'm very impressed with the performance of this machine for this purpose. It boots very quickly, compiles exceptionally fast and runs the Android emulator exceptionally well. Overall speed is very impressive. When I saw that it has a thunderbolt port, I was excited about being able to expand my peripheral options through a USB C/Thunderbolt hub and be able to use my existing power supplies to charge it through the Thunderbolt port. Unfortunately, neither is true. The laptop power requirements exceed the capacity of the Thunderbolt port. So, I can't charge it using that port. Also, the port can't be used with a hub/docking station. I use a hub/docking station with my two other laptops to connect an external web cam, power supply, dual monitors, wireless mouse/keyboard transmitter and external disk. This laptop isn't compatible with such a hub/docking station which limits it's use with multiple peripherals and makes it much less convenient for switching laptops for use with my peripherals. This restricted Thunderbolt port is VERY disappointing and unexpected. After my USB C/Thunderbolt hub failed to work and the seller told me the laptop isn't compatible with docking stations, I tried a Lenovo DisplayLink docking station. It worked! If I find that a simpler hub than the DisplayLink works, I will upgrade my rating to a 4. UPDATE: increased rating to a 4. I found that if I plug a 90W power supply into the hub and plug the power supply that came with the laptop into the laptop, the hub works. ... show more

Capacity: 16GB RAM | 1TB SSD Style: Intel Arc A550M Graphics
I'm a game developer, and this is my go to while traveling. It's not the most powerful but it works well and has a decent amount of power for a laptop. Have no complaints!
