I researched towers for one month solid before choosing this little guy! The NUC12 Wall Street Canyon 12th GEN i7-1260 is exactly what I've always wanted in a computer! Small but gosh darn powerful and fast! It starts right up, no waiting about 5 minutes like I had to on my old computer. It's small enough to not get in the way or take up too much space. And quiet-you can barely hear the fan run when it does. Windows 11 PRO to me is better than WIN 10 because I 'm setting this one up myself and I couldn't figure out how to do it on any of my others. And I got a darn good price at $918-I'm happy with it. Couldn't be happier with where I bought it either-the GEEKPlus Store-the Computer Mall and Cathy who assured me that with it's 3 year warranty I wouldn't need to bother with an added protection plan. The media could not be loaded. This may have been the best technical investment I have ever made and has thus far exceeded all expectations. I had previously owned a couple of full-size Dell Optiplex desktops that pretty regularly had power supply issues which I had to replace. After the last one, I decided it was time to move on and started doing research on finding a PC that would be an upgrade over what I had and won’t be obsolete anytime soon. I am a value shopper who looks for the best product at the best price point. I started out looking at both desktops and laptops and found that neither one of them provided me with everything on my wish list. Laptops are portable but expensive and don’t have a lot of expansion docks without adding a docking station. Full-size desktops are bulky and use up a lot of energy (for all practical purposes, they are really outdated technology for 2023). I started looking into Mini-PC’s and eventually stumbled upon the Intel NUC which I had never heard of previously. The NUC had everything that I wanted all packed into a tiny 4.5” x 4.5” x 2” cube. For under $1000 I still can’t believe all the power and expandability in one tiny device. Of immediate significance to me was 2 HDMI ports to connect my dual HD Lenovo monitors. Here are the basic specs of my Intel NUC: - Intel NUC 12 NUC12WSHi7 Wall Street Canyon Mini Computer - 12th Gen Intel Core i7-1260P - 12 Cores(4P+8E), 16 Threads, 18MB Intel Smart Cache - Intel Iris Xe Graphics - 32GB RAM - 1TB PCIe SSD - An expansion port to add another SSD if desired - 2 HDMI Ports, 2 Thunderbolt 4 ports, 2 USB 3 ports and 1 USB 2 port - Windows 11 Pro (pre-installed with NO Bloatware) The moment I got the Intel NUC I could see that it was a very high quality device that packed a serious punch. I’m not a gamer but do some video/photo editing in addition to lots of general business activities utilizing MS 365 software. The NUC immediately impressed me. Everything was so much faster and the graphics quality and responsiveness was better than I have ever experienced. Another amazing feature is that the system is “whisper” quiet and stays cool. I should also mention that the GEEK+ Store that fulfilled the order was very accommodating and responsive. I’ve had no technical issues but I did email them after I placed the order to inquire about when I might expect to receive my NUC. Cathy in technical support responded almost immediately ensuring me that they had just received a large shipment of NUC’s and that I should have mine in a few days. She was not only prompt but very pleasant and of course my NUC arrived in a few days as promised. As a work-from-home professional, my employer first introduced me to mini PC's like the NUC. After two which they provided over the past five or six years, this one I decided to purchase myself. That way, I can still do my work on a virtual machine set up, while maintaining personal data on the base OS setup. Most definitely it is space-saving in my office. It's also quiet and efficient, and doesn't use much electricity. The reason that I am rating it four stars instead of five is that despite having more RAM and hard drive capacity than my last NUC, it seems a bit slower. I haven't figured out why that would be. Still, it's a solid piece of key electronics with decent computing power for my work and my personal needs. The price was reasonable, relatively speaking. One of our senior consultants (I work for an IT company) told me that he prefers the AMD processor in the NUC machines, versus Intel. Of course, I learned this after the purchase. The AMD would have been even less costly. The appearance is sleek and simple. The ports in the rear fit my peripheral needs even better than the last NUC I used. I was looking for a compact-enough computer with high performance manufactured by a reputable brand a few months ago to replace my previous iMac. Since most of my work needing Windows environment, I decided to shift to a PC computer. After conducting research for a few days, eventually I found and bought this Intel NUC computer Intel NUC 12 NUC12WSHi7 from this website. After using it for months, I was surprised to realize that this one has exceeded all my expectations. In home, I connect it with my two Dell external monitors. I use it heavily with my daily MS office work, SDL Trados Studio 2019 that requires a lot of resources when running, gaming, and online movie streaming entertainment. As you can see in my pics, I frequently run those apps simultaneously without even experiencing any glitches so far. It shows excellent performance, supe fast speed without hearing any noise at any time. It is incomparably compact and light enough for me to carry it during the travel, with my Dell portable monitor as well as a portable keyboard and a mini mouse. When I quickly set up my computer to work, one of my friends even told me that this type of mini computer will become a new computing trend for the coming years. This product not only provided abundant connectivity with expandable options (DDR4 memory, M2 NvMe SSD, SATA SSD which I just added, expansion bay), but also came with a preinstalled Windows 11 Pro, its key was pre-written in the BIOS. After requesting to the customer support, they also provided me with the 5*5 KEY numbers.
